Left a message on my voicemail to call this number.  Said they were a paralegal with an arbitration company and had papers to serve.  Caller ID showed the calling from a locksmith in LA.

Received a voicemail from an Unknown number (I have unknown numbers on auto reject mode) telling me to call this number as papers were supposed to be served to me. I called the number and of course got a voicemail belonging to a James Anderson. I have yet to get a call back.  Has anyone else had follow up contact?

    Hello,
Yes, I received the same call. The call came up as "Unknown" on the caller Id, but the voice mail message was from a Jim Cartwright stating that he would be at my place to serve me papers to appear in court, and if I had any questions to call the 877-463-2078 number. Well, when I called the number, I got a voicemail belonging to a James Anderson. When I spoke with him, he stated that he was a paralegal from an arbitration company and would be at my place between 3:00pm - 5;00pm to serve me papers.

My voice mail was from an Eric Grey (he also called my wife's cell phone). I spoke with James Anderson as well. He wouldn't tell me what firm he was from but he did tell me who they represented.  I was told papers would be served on Monday between 3-4. I guess time will tell.  I wasn't aware that you got phone calls telling you that papers were going to be served.  I thought they just showed up.

That's funny because I thought the same thing. That's like having a police officer calling your house and telling you that they are coming to arrest you. A real criminal wouldn't just sit at the house, he would be long gone! I called and spoke with an attorney who specializes in this field, and he said it's definitely a scam, and the only reason why it's hard to go after these people is because they are hard to track. He did recommend contacting your state Attorney General, and they can investigate further.

877-463-2078 has been calling my husbands phone  and mine. Each time he calls
its  a different day and time that he is coming to our home or place of business to serve us with court papers. We must show proper ID. I called the number and spoke with Jim, I told him that we knew he was a scammer and being reported to the authorities. The only thing he could say was are you through.

I just got a call from Scott Weaver.  The call came up as "Private Number" on my caller ID.  He said he had left several messages for me and that they are coming to serve me papers tomorrow (Wednesday) between 1:00 and 3:00 at my workplace.  So if I don't want to be served at work, I'm supposed to call this number 877-463-2078 and make arrangements. When I called the number, they answered, "Legal department.  This is Jim."  He hung up on me when I told him I thought he was a scammer.

A guy named Alan Foster called both my work and cell number looking for me. He stated he would be at my residence tomorrow between 3 and 5pm to serve me with legal papers. He also stated if he missed me he would show up where I worked to serve the papers. This sounds a little fishy...

I got a call from a unknown number so naturally I sent it to voicemail. It was a guy who claimed to be James Anderson who had legal paperwork to serve me. I called them back as soon as I heard it because of course I panicked. Went to voicemail. Then they called right back from an unavailable number again. The guy said he was James and that he was a paralegal/ Process server who had paperwork to serve me. This guy was extremely rude so I was rude back. He said he was calling on behalf of Green Gate Services (a loan company which I admittedly had a loan with before in the past) he went on to say that they were taking me to court on the amount of 1541 which was a whole lot more than what I borrowed. I asked is there any way to dispute this, he started to get angry and said there's nothing to dispute and that I borrowed the money from his client and that they already subpoenaed the information from my bank (again I thought this was legitimate because they named my actual bank). So I said wow you are being extremely rude and asked if there was someone else I could speak with. This A$$ hole says nope "I'm the paralegal assigned to this case so you're stuck with me." So I said okay well is there a way I can handle this through payments and he said that to settle out of court would be 910 dollars. So I said okay and he transferred me to his "accouting dept" where the guy was also rude in taking my info and setting up the payment arrangement. The guy said that I would be receiving an email with paperwork showing the validity of the claim and when it was paid in full I would receive a letter stating that it was paid. After I got off the phone I called Greengate services and they stated that the account was charged off to another company and they gave me the number. The guy at Greengate also said that if someone is calling threatening legal action it is probably a SCAM and that it was a small payday loan the worst that would come of it was a bad mark on my credit. I then proceeded to call the third party it was charged off too and was directed to another place that the account was sent to. When I called them I got a voicemail where I left my information asking for a call back. I STILL HAVENT RECEIVED ANY PAPERWORK STATING VALIDITY OF THE CLAIM NOR A PHONE CALL FROM THE THIRD PARTY. Finally I called my bank and spoke with the fraud dept and they said that noone has subpoenaed my records so far and that I should keep checking. I personally feel this is a scam and all the research I have done up to this point also points to a scam. I would love to hear if anyone has actually gotten served anything from these bloodsucking leeches preying on people like us.

    Hi Jon,

Mr. Alan Foster was supposed to show up to my home yesterday from 3-5 but today he called and said he will be here today between 3-5pm. I think this is totally a scam. I told them they are conducting illegal business and he wanted me to verify information which I refused to do so. He just hung up on me. If you gave these people your banking information I would cancel your bank immediately since they cannot prove validity of the debt.

    Thank you,

I just received the same call saying he was coming to my house tomorrow between the hours of 3-5 to serve me court papers and he was also going to the sheriff department to issue a warrent for my arrest. He was really rude and demanded I give him 915.00. He said if I gave him 35% of that then he would stop the warrent.  This is very strange to me because he blocked his number.

This guy named James Anderson calls from a blocked number demanding money for Green Gate and if I don't he will be to my house tomorrow between the hours of 3-5 and also will go to the court to have a warrent issued for my arrest. The only way this won't happen is if I pay 35% of the amount which was 900... What's the deal???

The previous number is out of service. They now use 8772751268. Thr called at d comes up unknown. I was called by both Eric gray and Jim cartwright. Jim yelled at me and left threatening voice mails. I have no loans and perfect credit. I called the police and they wrote up a report. My husband did the same. They aren't smart for scam artists.
