Got a call from 877-463-8938. Left a message saying it is a scholarship program for college students. Gave an email address too - awards@circleofneighbors.org

Received a message stating our college bound student was nominated for community service and eligible for college scholarships-  deadline is approaching. Call from above listed # and website. No info otherwise-no one knows about this.

We got the exact message.  Called our sons guidance counselor who has never heard of them.  She is trying to get information for us.

Received a call from 877-463-8938 about some college endownment awards. Told us to visit the site www.awards@circleofneighbors.org. Stated it was Dr. Robert Taylor and the community and that my child was choosen for the award not based on income or grades, but selected because of the area of interest my child has chosen to study. Does anyone know anything about this organization?

got the call four times now in the last three months.  i have read all of your stements so i have decided not to even bother.  With our economy down so bad now as it is, i cannot afford to pay someone to do the work my sutdent can search for her self.  thank u.

I recieved your message about my child was awarded a College Endowment Scholarship Award, what is this about?

We have been getting these calls off and on for over a year. I let the answering machine pick up even when we are home, since non-profits are exempt from the Do Not Call restrictions. My "college bound student" is in his second year on stacked scholarships, which he obtained through his high school counselor and academic competitions. My other child just started high school, so this recording does not apply to him yet, as there is no "deadline" for him, as mentioned in the recording.We were alerted to various scholarship scams at a parents' meeting several years back. This group wants you to pay them to find college money that you can get yourself for free! They offer a $100 book, the cost of which can be "applied to your membership", and claim to help find all these scholarships "for less than the cost of books for one semester" - which is several hundred dollars, as my college student can attest. Got same phone call don't know if legit

I received a call three times in a row.  I finally answered the phone and I received the same information as all have previously listed.  My child is only a freshman in high school so I think this is a little early. Can't get any info. Please post if anyone finds that this is ligit.

On January 5-6, a call from a "Dr. Robert Taylor" of "Circle of Neighbors", 877-463-8938, came in on my home phone some time between 10:30 pm when I went to bed and 4:00 am  in the morning.  The message left gave the same information as above regarding possible scholarships for my children.

1.  The hour of the call was appauling.
2.  I have children in their 30's and 40's living on their own, with NO children this swindle would include.

3.  I will report them to state and national boards to ensure they lose their ability to bother me or others again, lose their non-profit status, and lose the "opportunism" of ripping off the unsuspecting person.

Sounds like a scam to me.  How did they get my son's info?

Got a call 10 am with exact same info in Phoenix, AZ.  But talked about "my children" or
"grandchildren" being eligible.  Don't have any. Interested in what the follow up is going to be.

search for scholarships.

We received a call from Dr. Robert Taylor on behalf of circle of neighbors telling us our college bound child qualifies for an endowment award based on community service.  I found this message board while trying to locate the website and I notified our school counselor.
