- leigh replies to Lee| 1 replythey called me too. i looked up their customer service number and these two companies poped up
http://americanautobenefits.com/index.html (they also said they were with CV Redemption and My Savings Discount but they wont appear in any search engine)
http://ourodysseytravel.com/terms.html
also i did a little digging and you will receive the $200 worth of gas..in $10 installments for the next 20 months!
their physical address is: 10341 66th St., #382, Pinellas Park, FL 33782
i would just let them know that if anything other than what they say is charged to your account or if they give out your information to third parties that you will take their company to court. - Sherri Martin| 2 repliesI have recieved this voucher for gas and my membership number. My membership is over April 22, 2010 and also these other people have wanted me to use a free membership also and if I dont cancel the membership in enough time they will take it out of my account. I tried to cancel the membership and they said take advantage of the savings going out to eat and etc. The thing is all these people were forgeion that I talked to and something is just fishy. Im sorry I gave them my information. If they take something out of my account I will sue them and report them to the attorney general's office. Be aware of these phone calls.

- katI got a phone call from these people to and they were all forgeion as well. The thing that bothered me was they already had all my information before I even said anything, how did these people get it? I told them I was not interested in any of their gas vouchers and they still said I needed to talk to their verification department, then they said I was going to be charged $1.00 for the first verification transfer and as soon as I told them I was going to report them they hung up on me. This company is deffinatley very fishy, I immediatly called my bank to cancell my card that they had the info on so they cant get into my account, I would advise others who have come into contact to do the same for their own protection and good luck.

- JustinI received a call from them as well. I told them I am on the DNC the gentleman stated they weren't doing telemarking. I asked him kindly to remove our number from their call list. What pricks they are. I told him NOT to call us ever again. They do sound really fishy. I did not give any bank information unless they are companies I know.

- GamerI too am a victim of this company. same story, got the call from the strong accent guy, claimed that I had won a 200 dollar gas gift card, and would recieve upon agreement of a $3.95c, i felt skeptical at first for giving my debit card info, yet after an hour of conversation was convinced to do so. After obtaining my card information i was "transfered" to a supervisor yet all i heard on the phone line was a simple button dial. Then during the phone verification which afterwards was supposed to reconnect me with the representative named "David Jackson" even though he had a thick indian accent...The call ended on me abruptly and i had then realized i made a big mistake. Took immediate action to cancel that card info and had a new one immediately sent over so that they cannot take out my funds. Now after some digging of my own, and through the help of this website i have all the information i need to find these guys. My question is that if anyone thinks its possible to take these [***] to court and sue their [***] for all this fraudulent activity, including identity theft, credit fraud, and many others...and if you think it is possible I will try my best to do so and get us our just rewards for putting away these [***].

- basshorn2Here is the information posted to my credit card from CV Redemption(s): IDPROTECTBUY8774723388 877-4723388 FL. These people are Smooth Operators, using a Domain Name/Company that does exist on any of the most popular search engines!!! I didn't recieve a call from them, but noticed the charge on my credit card statement. These credit card companys had better get there act together when it comes to Internet Fraud, or there possibly going to be out of business!!! I will keep you posted on any further developments.
- La Tasha HarperThis guy would not stop asking for my "Customer Identification Number" better know as an account number from my visa card. When I asked for their administration phone number and address he would continually say he could not give it to me unless I give him my customer ID number from my card or he would be yelled at by his "Verification Manager". When I asked him to transfer me to his "Verification Manager" he would say he could not transfer me until I gave him my customer ID number. He said everything that he could think of to try to convince me to just give him those numbers.
He asked and asked and demanded those numbers for approx. 15 minutes straight. When I told him I was tracing his call and contacting the authorities to turn him in for fraud and identity theft, he immediately said that I did not have to give him my account number and that he would transfer me to his supervisor. Then he said please just give me the 16-digit number on the front of my card so he could transfer me.
DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION, THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS. He said they where located in Phoenix, AZ. I told him he couldn't even spell Phoenix. He said his name was Rocky Johnson, but I could hardly understand what he was saying because his accent was so thick. He refused to give me any phone numbers, addresses or web site info unless I give him my account number. Somebody needs to put a stop to these people taking advantage of the ignorance of credit card holders. I must admit $200 in gas for $3.95 s&h is a very tempting offer. However, we must remember that if it seems to good to be true, it usually is.- Caller: American Auto Benefits

- Derek| 1 replySo i have been on the phone with these idiots on three separate occasions so far. Yup the guy with the thick northern indian accent mentioned that his name was David Smith.. i laughed and said.. what is your real indian name and he said.. David Smith. The went so far as to call me back.. the same guy but this time saying the name Adam Alexander. Now the conversation went to that i needed to pay them the $2.00 processing fee to receive my $200 gas card and that if i didn't do it, it would create an accounting nightmare for them. I just said let me have your website address, which he refused to give me. But called me after i hung up on him to say that their website is www.americanautobenefits.com
The phone number i was first contacted on was 877-318-2147 and then subsequently from the number 235-644-0887. This is obviously a scam and i am now even suspect of the persons that wrote into here saying "Yaay i received my gas card" it could be salting. When you have issues like this come across do your research FIRST and if it smells like a scam simply log into the FBI website and on the top left of the screen you can click a button that allows you to report it. DO IT.- Caller: American Auto Benefits

- EN replies to shirleynLiar. I just reported you guys to the BBB.
- jenniferJust got off the phone with them. Identified themselves as American Auto Benefits Carson City, Nevada
877-472-1629. They promised a $200 gift card for use at any hotel, restaurant, grocery store or gas station. They insisted that they didn't need my card #, just my name, address, type of card and expiration date. I told them that I never give out any credit card info on instructions from my bank. I couldn't find them through any search engines, but he provided me with their web site URL. www.americanautobenefits.com The URL does work. I called the phone number listed in contacts on the web site and reported my experience. The person on the line said that if I'm not willing to provide the card information all I need to do is hang up.- Caller: American Auto Benefits
