It is a scam, They got your info from buying it from companies. There are companies out there just trying to collect data and then sell it. Anytime you enter an e-mail, address, phone number, on anything it gets collected by someone. Don't give that stuff out unless they have a privacy clause that they don't sell your information.

Received yellow post card that everyone else has mentioned. I live in Columbus, OH. How can they legally do this? Who do you contact to report this apparent gross violation of the mail system?

I live in western Pennsylvania and I've received one of these today and also a few months ago- they are definitely a scam.  I called just to mess around with them.  I asked the guy how he got a job scamming people and he said it wasn't a scam, blah blah blah.  Don't give your credit card number to these people.  If the stuff they are giving away sounds too good to be true, it probably is. (And I'm saying it definitely is!)  He told me that they get the information from people from credit card companies, so if you have a credit card, I guess they get your address that way... I don't know if that's true though because credit card companies shouldn't be selling that information.  Anyhow, don't buy in!!

    they don't get free postage
every time one of their postcards is delivered, they get a bill from the post office, anyone can pre-print postcards or envelopes like that, if you have your own bar code at the bottom so the p.o. can track it and bill you

Got the same post card in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Seemed suspicious so I Googled the phone number and found this site.  Thank you for this community that looks out for people's best interest.

Got the same yellow postcard.  Total SCAM.  It's amazing what companies can get away with when worded just so...

My daughter rc'd this a few days ago, problem is, she did call it, and spoke to the girl. She said she was entered to win a contest. She coached her by tricking her saying, which card do you use, visa or mastercard...
and got her to say "yes" i would like to win, and then she somehow verified her address. So my daughter fell for it all, now WHAT happens. Thankfully she did not give her card number, but they already have her phone, address and that she has a card, and a recording of her saying "yes" to something.
What do we be on the look out for now? I feel sure they have gotten something accomplished by this call.

I *JUST* moved to Williamsburg, and received the same thing...  No clue how my new (less than a month old) address got out there.  Strange.  Thank you for posting on this site.  As for me, have torn up and thrown away the card.

I received the yellow postcard on 10/23 and it said the same thing good news! call toll free and a control #.  Out of curiosity I called but all they told me was that I entered some sort of sweepstakes and I asked what kind and the guy just kept repeating himself and I hung up. I wonder how do they get all my information??

I got the pretty little mysterious yellow postcard in the mail telling me they have good news for me. CHYARIGHT! You don't even know me! Who do you think you are and why should I fall for it and call you when: A. I don't even know who you are and where you got my info and B. You didn't tell me who you are or for what reason I should call you, other than "We are trying to reach you with good news". I'm pretty sure it's a scam because I did my research, instead of just calling a number that I don't know, and all I found is comments that other people posted as it being a scam. My suggestion is: DON'T CALL!
