My landlord was contacted by an automated message asking that my husband call regarding  reordering a prescription. they actually called my land lord so they must have googled our address and picked up the wrong number. I did talk to a real person and when I called. WHen  I questioned why  they had been calling my landlord I was told to call back because their computer system was compromised. I called caremark customer service from my membership card and they denied that they do anything of that nature. I suspect that they may have been hacked.

CVS Caremark system has been hacked. I have send an Email reporting the problem to the following emails communitymailbox@cvs.com  marketingsupport@cvs.com  CVSCaremarkrealty.com and CVSSuppliers.com

Watch out.  I got several of these calls on my answering machine recently.  If you do answer the phone it asks you for identifying information .  The suspicious thing is on the caller id, it says caller unknown, number unknown.  Never give any identifying info such as birth date or ss#, unless you initiated the call and the number you are calling is from reliable company literature.  Never just whatever number is left on your answering machine.

I was contacted by an automated message regarding  reordering a prescription.  They gave me an identification number to give them when I called back.  I did not call back because I looked up the number on the computer  first and it seems to be fraudulent.

I also got a call from this number asking for personal information.  I contacted caremark who said this was one of their numbers and that this was a normal process.  They said this was normal.  I tried to explain that this was what a phising scam looks like and that they should stop this practice since it violates all security protocals.  They said they would look into it, but I don't believe they will do anything.  Its easy to see why scammers have such an easy time when companies like cvs act like scammers in their dealings with their customers.

A call to reorder a medication from CVS asking for my credit card and expiration date.

I had a message on my answering machine from CVS Caremark asking my husband to call back  at 877-477-1442 and use a PIN number to provide information to complete an order for his mail order prescription.  The next day, the same message was left for me.  Since we don't use the CVS Caremark mail order prescription service, we were suspicious of the call.  I called the customer service number on our prescription card to verify and was told this is a scam.

I got a call from this number also with a recording asking my personal information. I hung up and called CVS and they said they had not called, I have had several calls from them already.

I do not have any prescriptions at CVS. When I called the number 1-877-477-1442 and entered the pin they provided in the voice mail, they wanted my personal information. I hung up! Can't trust these kinds of calls!!

I received a phone call from the above number Monday, July 28, 2014, at 6:13 P.M. CST.  A message was left saying the caller was "CVS, my Mail-Service Provider" and the caller left a "personal security number" for me to use when returning the call.  Of course, I DID NOT RETURN THE CALL.   W.M.Clark

Received a call at home from 1-877-477-1442 claiming to be CVS Mail Order. This is a scam number and an attempt to get your medical and payment information. They too left me a "special" number to use when I called back. I did not return the call.

Received a recorded message with pin number as described above several times. Same scenario. I hung up.

This is what Caremark refers to as an "automatic refill" call to let a person know they have eligible refills.  It is probably a legit call but not a very important or even a good one. I had the service removed from my account.  Most likely you have not been scammed. Caremark CVS is a legit Drug outfit. If you got the call either you or someone else used that phone number previously in filling a script and that script is now available for refill and thus is part of an auto call.

I have received a call from 423-822-2465 asking me to call 877-477-1442. I have just called CVS and they confirmed the number is a good and valid CVS / Caremarket number.

Simple as this - I'm labeling this a scam as this number does not match the customer service phone number CVS gives me on their website. I will not be calling them back.

It's doubly worse because the caller id on the inbound call was an also-reported-as-scam 423-822-2465 number.

8774771442 is a scam. They ask you to call their automated system and provide a 7-digit number. Bad idea.

June 23, 2017 received call: "Hello this is CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy calling for *****. You have a prescription order ready for refill which can be completed on the phone. Please call us toll free at 1-877-477-1442 and enter the seven digit extension 576-5639."
This is a total scam which is NOT coming from Caremark Pharmacy. Beware, do not call this number back. Caremark DOES NOT make calls like this. This hack is trying to acquire your medical and billing info.
