called me 3-16-10 only say that it is an important call and they are trying to reach me.  DO NOT give name or company name.

Collections agency.  Called to collect on a medical debt; I told them that the debt was in error because my doctor's office had submitted the claim to the wrong insurance company and that I was in the process of resolving it with the doctor's office.  The representative was extremely rude throughout the call and said that "now" I had to deal with the collections agency, Vision Financial, as the debt had been transferred and could not be "pulled back".  She threatened that if I didn't pay, my credit would be ruined.  I said that I was not paying anything as there was a billing error and I don't owe a cent.  She then stated that she was listing me as a "refusal to pay" and hung up on me.  I called back, spoke with the representative's manager (also rude), and didn't make any progress.  I then called the doctor's office, spoke with the manager of the billing department, told her about the call that I had received, re-faxed my insurance information to her, and received a call later that day from the doctor's office apologizing for the billing error and promising that the problem would be fixed that same day.  Don't trust Vision - they lie!  The doctor's office was easily able to "pull back" the debt.  If I had fallen for Vision's tricks, I'd be out $800!
