This is about the worst damn scam. Said I would get a VISA Gift card for $40 from GreatFunsite.com to spend plus Shoppers Advantage 800-526-4848 was sending me a Visa Card for $50 to spend on their site. THEN I was connected with "Caribbean Cruise Line" for a free trip to Bahamas 800-441-6858.
I spoke to Tiffany ID 56968 who sold it all to me for $1.00 Can you imagine such a great deal. After the purchase of the $1.00 I was then connect to the free cruise. Christine answered the cruise offer, but when I asked where does the ship disembark she hung up on me. So then I got really upset and started calling different numbers to find out wtf was going on. OH LET ME TELL YOU. I have never heard so much lying and deceitful people in my life! The only way I could arrange to talk to anyone of any importance was to say my relative worked for MSNBC. After that conversation I called and cancelled my creditcard. No problem for me though I needed a new card with new number, infact everyone should request a new from time to time. I've had this one way too long so indeed the only good thing that came out of this is I am getting a new number. But beware, because people like these just absolutely ruin it for others who try so hard to run a business off the internet. One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch. Marketing people like greatfun & shoppers advantage should be put under the jail. Why & How do people like this stay in business?

I received a call promising me the $20 Visa card, but wait, "if I act now" they will double that to $40. I asked why I was being called since I am on the "Do Not Call Registry". I was told I had filled out a survey and that gave them the right to call. They would not take "No" for an answer. The caller insisted I get my credit call; that she would wait. I said, "Okay." I sit the phone down and just let it set there. After ten minutes my husband called me on my cell phone. I told him I had some idiot sales person on the house phone waiting for me to give her my credit card number. Of course she could hear me. I could hear her yelling at me. It was just too funny. I feel some satisfaction at being able to waste her time as she was wasting mine.

I got a call stating I would get a $40 Visa gift card - it would cost me only $1 for 30 day trial and then $19.99 after that and I completed a survey.  If I did complete the survey, which I can't remember, I would NEVER put my phone number on it.  So where did they get the # and somehow they need to take me off of there list as I am not interested in that kind of junk.....scam....
Another number that they called from was:  917-398-5596  as well as giving me this 877 number.

I just went through this and I tried to cancel before the membership expiration.  I got a busy signal with one place and actually spoke to a live person for the other two.  I already contacted my credit card company and they are very familiar with these folks.  I was keep trying to cancel and if you see any unauthorized charges, hit the dispute buttona and we will take care of it.  Should have known, too good to be true.

How in the hell are these people getting our numbers and addresses??!! The integrity of people is so sad and so disheartening. They want my cc #? Yeah, what a scam. Not a chance that would happen. Something needs to be done to get these people caught, and punished.

    Fool Me Once....
Same thing happened to me. I ordered a Butterball Turkey Fryer through Masterbuilt and that's how they got my information. As soon as I picked up they said your turkey ball fryer is on the way and we want to offer you blah, blah, blah. Never got the gift card or other information they said I would get. So, I called and spoke with Masterbuilt and they said they have nothing to do with them and to be careful when you get calls from them and then offered to put my name on the Do Not Call list. Obviously they get a lot of complaints too but aren't taking any measures to make sure their customer's information is not getting to these scum bags.

My mom has dementia and this company scammed her. Fortunately it was caught before any unauthorized charges went on my dad's card. The card has been cancelled and we won't have one in the house anymore. They prey on the elderly because sometimes older people (my parents are 90 )become like chIldren and they believe what someone tells them and trust much too easily. What these people do for their living is absolutely criminal! I just want to know one thing: HOW DO THESE PEOPLE SLEEP AT NIGHT?

I received a call from these folks. I was told  "you are selected to receive a $100 rewards card and a $40 visa card". All I have to do is activate it by paying $1. I Immediately said No! I realized that this is scam. What kind of dumb person would give away $140 just for $1? Later I searched  with the phone number provided by them and landed on this page. Thanks for the post and be careful with these kind of people.

I saw an ad on ebay for a 25.00 rebate. It was these people. Stupid me gave them my credit card # to join a club that would offer me discounts every month at various stores, ect. ect. My fee would be 16.95 a month and I could cancel anytime. I called ebay and they confirmed my suspicions that this was not a legitimate ebay rebate off. I cancelled my credit card. I should have known better!
