Caller ID: TOLL FREE CALL.

This number called the office today. I didn't catch the operator's name, but she had an accent and what sounded like boiler room noise in the background. She claimed to be from "AT&T SP" and began the same scripted statements I've received from various numbers and callers about  AT&T sending out technicians to replace the copper lines with Fiber and that I'd need to be upgraded to U-Verse.  When I told her I wasn't interested in switching, she tried to make a harder sell. When I stated more assertively that I wouldn't be switching my service to U-Verse when I do switch, she finally conceded defeat and ended the call with, "Than you for your time."

Although I suspect that "SP" might be an abbreviation for "Solutions Provider," I equally suspect this wasn't actually AT&T calling but a third party company.

Person on the phone identifies herself as AT&T and asks to speak to the person in charge of the AT&T Account. Immediately, my guard is up as AT&T 'knows' who is in charge of my AT&T Account. Funny thing is... they called my cell number - not my business number. SCAM!  So I say, "You are a liar and a fat mouth" and hang up!
