hey i got a call too got the info and called the original info and called the original creditor and payed a past due balance without interest, it was just a bill i forgot about when moving, but seriously did you guys ever think about paying your bills and none of this would be happening, quit living beyond your means, and wasting your time ranting on the net, maybe use the time you clearly spend dodging your creditors, and earn money...seriously if someone owed you money, would you not want it back, or is it different somehow? obviously you are living in fear and know something is up or you would not be scanning the net looking up phone numbers you are afraid to call back, i called them, refused to deal with a third party, paid a past due car payment, and moved on and guess what? the calls stopped...and seriously recomending filing a suit against someone for trying to get you to pay your bills is hilarious...that would be like my children taking me to court for making them do their homework...there are expectations that children behave like children and adults like adults, or guess what some lame [***] debt collector will call you and get you to pay your bills because you refuse to be a responsible member of society, next time you're looking up phone numbers you're afraid to answer, try going to craigslist and looking under help wanted...seriously...what a bunch of losers, or maybe you can run up debt, wait for collectors to call you and try and sue them for that big score you know somethin for nothin, obviously you're real good at that, then it will be a matter of public record that you are deadbeats, and when you get that settlement, have fun because your lawyer will take most of it. i've never worked for one of  these companies but i can see why they use illegal techniques, 99% of you are losers who don't pay their bills like the rest of us. think about this every time you dont pay a bill to the creditor, that adds up and lowers the company's profit, and will eventually cost americans jobs.
