I received a text from them and a bogus reference number. I called the to try to see who they were but they ended up hanging up when I started asking questions.

The same exact thing happened to me. Thought they used a last name that I have not used in over 10 years. Definitely a scam.

I received a call from this. They dont tell you anything. They are awful and say their calling from the police department.

Received a text from this number. They had personal information and said I owed money from a payday loan. When I asked questions they said they would mail me paperwork in 10-14 days and hung up on me. Afterwards the number has ringed busy.

Received a text from this number saying they have tried to reach me for several days. And to call a different number and gave a reference code. I did not call back after researching that it's a same.

Message said for me when I called they asked for someone else.

Received a message to call with a reference number. I called back asked what business they were in and they hung up on me. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

When I called, I told them to mail me because I don’t know who they are.   He said you’ll hear from us when we take you to court and hung up.

Text messages are illegal.  I would welcome them to file a case against me because then I would know where they are so that I could counter sue them for FDCPA violations which would result in them paying me.

Thanks for that information.   I filed a complaint with the FTC.  I think if we all do that, and there are enough complaints, they’ll have no choice but to investigate.

just recieved text and they have my name right but I blocked call when calling back and it went to their automated voicemail.  Scam! If in fact it were a viable person who needed to contact me for a ligit reason they would at least have a name on the voicemail

Don't forget to file one with your State Attorney General as well.
