Do not reply to this text or call the number!! It will tell you that your card has been deactivated and that you need to call this number!! It is a scam to get your bank account number!!

They are also going by other numbers!!

just got a text about 30 min ago same thing

call came in at 7:13:39PM on 10-13-2009 saying my card has been Deactivated.  I don't have a card.  DO NOT CALL BACK TO THIS NUMBER...it's a scam

Received at 7:25 pm from "Netspend Alert".

"Your Card has been Deactivated. Please contact us at 877-498-5544 to Activate your Card"  The caps are theirs....

Just got the same text message.  Didn't recognize the number and it looked like a scam, came here and saw that others received the same.

Got a text from this number. Called it and there wasn't even an option to talk to a customer service rep. Just the options to activate the card, change pin number, or end the call. When I pressed to activate (just to see what it would do) it asked for my card number. I have a few debit cards and none of them are through this company.

Text I received:
NETSPEND Alert: Your Card has been Deactivated. Please call us at 877-498-5544 to Activate your Card.

Just received a text. Netspend Alert: saying my card has been deactivated.

Seems as if the whole city was spammed. My text from NETSPEND came in at 17:50

Big time scam, don't call. I also recieved the msg on my cell phone.

Got the same text as above from 1234 about my netspend card I don't have.  I'm in Las Vegas.

got the text a couple of minutes ago and decided to google the number before i prank called them and see how far i can go with it. luckily TX has a "single party consent" law which means i can record the entire thing and not let them know i'm doing it. should be a good call to upload to youtube later...

I received the following text @ 13:29 CDT..."NETSPEND Alert: Your card has been Deactivated.  Please contact us at 877-498-5544 to Activate your Card."  I immediately became suspicious and was not surprised to find this website.  I didn't call.  Thank you to everyone for the heads up.
