Received a call from a blocked number stating they had a court summons for me and that they were giving me time to contact the creditor to work it out before being served. Gave me a case # and 877-499-7011 to call. When I called I spoke to Reggie at National Check Arbitration, who told me that I had an unpaid payday loan. He kept trying to get me to give him a credit/debit card so he could fax a cease and desist order to have my summons stopped. The story sounded very fishy so I decided to look them up on the internet. While looking them up, i received 2 more calls from a Blocked number. The message left was from Reggie  threatening me to pay within the hour or be served with court papers. After I looked up all of the scam information, I called them back and told them I would be filing a police report.

Gina, I dont know about you but the same thing happened to me.  I told that office to go ahead and serve me because i thought it was strange too.  Sure enough about three weeks later I got served.  Now I have to take a day off of work and go to court if I want to fight this.  They are seeking judgment from me and will probably get it.  I called back the day I was served and tried to pay the entire balance I owed and they now told me they could not take the money from me.  I'm not telling you what to do, but if I had a second chance I would take it.  If you were not served yet I'd call right away.  Just trying to give you some light.  This is not a scam.

Sign of a desperate scammer!

Have been getting calls from these people for some time now, i even set up a payment arrangement glad I didn't follow through, I gave them a prepaid card. Today I filed a complaint with the FTC and they told me it's definalty fraud and to ask them to validate the debt, these people are rude and scammers.
