Kept getting computerized calls asking for someone - name was unintelligible - then was given a list of 4 options - one of which was to reprot the call as being in error - ie: wrong number. Selected that option and was "informed" that i would need to call 877-50-1956 in order to get the calls to stop.
Called the number, asked who they were - they would not tell me - not even a hint.
Asked for my number to be removed - they asked for the number to verify, then asked if I was such & such person that they were looking for - again, I asked who they were - they would not give me ANY kind of info about themselves, so I told them NO, no one here by that name - remove this number from your list.

Would REALLY like to know who these people are.

They called my parents looking for me and left either my personal history or theirs but that's against the law. Told mom not to reply.

I didn't answer, they.. the message was on voice mail said if I continued to listen then they were calling the right number.

NEVER talk to collections people unless your willing to pay all of whatever bill they claim is yours.

They are Alliance (SP) Collection agency  I believe they handle medical / doctor bills that have gone to collection.

A bunch of annoying people that call under "Anonymous", then tell you if you don't hang up and continue listening to their message, you are acknowledging you are the person they are looking for.  What a joke!!!  I will listen to any message I damn well please that has been left on my voicemail.

Use the Force.  Tell you are not the Droid they are looking for.  This usually works for me, telescammers are weak.

Call almost on a daily basis. Think they can get away with it because when they call no call back number shows on caller ID but the name shows "UNKNOWN NAME" so they call 5-6 times in one day. Only way I know its Alliance Collections is they leave a messaage asking for _____ and then goes into a speal about if this is not ____ hang up now. If you continue to stay on the line you aknowledge  that you are the person we are trying to reach. Sorry but my answering machine records for 1 minute and records the message. My machine stays on to record the whole message whether or not I'm the person they are trying to reach. Get a real job people stop harrassing others for your enjoyment.

This is a call from Alliance Debt Collection Agency.  They have an office in Marshfield, WI and do a lot of the collections for Marshfield Clinic as well as other companies.

I have had the same number for about 25 years. For the first year or so I would always get calls from collection agencies for Todd B. then one day there was a message on my answering machine from an "inmate"  and this guy's voice yelling "Pick up Rhonda, it's Todd". Well, my name is not Rhonda, A few more calls from different collections, but after about six months nothing. I guess Todd is out(after @ 18 years)-and back to his bad behavior.

For YEARS now I have been receiving calls asking for a same person whom I don't know.  Sometimes it is every day some times weeks go by and nothing.  The Caller ID is anonymous.  It is always a recorded message that even occurs when it goes to my answering machine.  They say they are a collection group and to call 877-509-1956 if you are not this person, but when you call they just put you on hold.

Same computerized crap.

I listened to a voicemail and it's Alliance Collection Agency

Just received a voicemail from an Unknown number. States they are Alliance Collection Agency but left me 2 different phone numbers to call back?

877-509-1956 and 800-215-8756.

They also do collections for Aurora Healthcare

Blocked their number and now it shows up as Anonymous. Went to block options and it only the unblock this number option shows up.
