above number is calling us from the day we moved inm about 6 mo. and they dont talk, and when i returned the call they ask me for my id,ss# etc... which i didnt give them, I reported them 5 times to do not call registry, still calling me. Id there any place that we can complain?

I love it!  When they call again, I am going to use it.  I am on th NDNC list and this is pissing me off.  Thanks for the tip!

These people call numerous times a day. This is just getting to be annoying. No one in my home asks to be contacted by phone for anything.

We've been getting calls from this number for about two months - one of my housemates bought a new Dell Computer online and has a Dell Online Credit Line and the timing of the phone calls coincides with the start of calls to this house from this phone number.  So, following the advice of someone else in this thread, I went to Dell's website. clicked on their 'privace' tab at the bottom of the page, and both filled out the form to request removal of our phone number from their roster and wrote out a personal request that they never call us again.  They got back to me.  Done.  But, a day later ( I kid you not!), we started getting calls from 1-800-847-4084!  This is also a Dell marketing phone number!  It's the same crap - calling and hanging up!  Something tells me that I'm going to be going back and forth with Dell (I'm not even the one who owns the computer!) for the next several months...

Don't waste your time with the "Do Not Call Registry" because is useless and good for nothing piece of crap and I'm sure they are the ones giving out our phones numbers instead of blocking them.
Anyhow, I use my home phone only for TV & Internet conection purposes so I set it to answer all calls after one ring and at the same time I "muted" it so I can't hear it ring. I only call DELL when I need them or to ask questions about my computer but I don't let them call me so, I guess after they try many  time they decided to stop calling because the last call from 877-511-4552 shows on my screen as 4/25 together with other non-important telemarketer numbers.

I bought a Dell PC online about two months ago and I made my first payment with the Dell Credit Line on time a couple of weeks ago. Right after that, these people started calling. I have had them call with two different numbers. I stupidly answered both. They want to sell me a "warranty". I told them I wasn't interested, but they keep calling. I have my cell # on my account, not the land line, and that's the number they're calling. I have just been ignoring them since, and they hang up when the voice mail starts. I figure (hope?) that after being ignored for long enough, they'll give up.

As far as I can tell only 1 person here has tried contecting Dell on this issue. If any of you would like to take the time out to do so you will realize Dell has no idea who these people are. If Dell calls about the Dell Preferred Account in qestion then it will be Dell Financial Services calling not Assured/Assurance Services. So please people try to hear the voice of reason just do the civilized thing take some of your "precious" time out call them and opt out.

Got my first call from these people today. Bought a laptop about a month ago from Dell. Blocked them on my Google Voice number. I'll never hear from them again. Everyone should do the same.

Interesting, I think they have called one time at 5 something in the morning. It has always been for my husband who isn't home. They called again today so I looked the number up but the person on the phone was actually stuttering when asked when the best time to reach my husband was. Maybe I am crankier than I thought. Oh well. Can we all get together and bring a class action suit against them for harassment?

Keep getting calls from this number but no one talks.  Would like it stopped. Thanks

I have the same probem with them no body home when you answer as they hang up. I have NEVER in my life owned a Dell so I would hate to see how many calls I"d get if I did they just tick me off.

It's DELL customer service calling me to ask how everything was going when they sent me a replacement power supply...But they won't stop till your happy! But it's a pain in the ass!

Dell wanting to know how everything is working because I purchased a replacement part from them.

They are trying to be so helpful, they are becoming annoying.

Second or third time the "Toll Free Call" called Just different number on caller id. Now if the FCC can't or won't do anything about these A holes maybe the NSA should run the DNC.They don't have to listen in just watch for repeated high volume calling. Could do the same for email spam.

Sorry, forgot, federal government. (right way, wrong way, government way) and that would mean working for a change.

It is nolonger the Dell company calling as it has been in previous years.  It is now a solicitor calling for Luxury Estates! Which of course is a time share!!!!
