Collection Technology Inc. Burbank, CA - A congregation of Child Molesters.  Trying to collect a debt from me (yes, me).

If you're in debt, get a Windows-based smartphone, like a Motorola Q or a BlackJack.  Buy a $9 software from Efficasoft called SmartBlock.  You can put your creditors & unwanted callers on SmartBlock's "Black List", and poof - you'll never get a call again from them.  You might get a v-Mail, but it's better to delete a v-Mail than talk to a creditor.  In 7-10 years, your debt will be wiped clean off your credit report.  I'm already 4 years along, and creditors rarely ever leave v-Mails - Well, Sallie Mae does!

    Your friend,

This number is actually the number to CPI (consumer price index) which is under the Dept. of Labor. They called my wife looking for a friend of hers that lives in Peru. Don't know exactly why but it doesn't seem like a dept collection agency.

I got a call from this number at my business.  Ext. 3510, Miguel left a message asking me to verify employment for some one that worked for me. When I called to do so, I found out by his voicemail that this was a debt collector. This has actually happened to me before years.  They asked me to verify employment for an employee and then admitted they were debt collectors and now they had her address. I am sure this illegal.  I believe that people should pay back money they owe.. but I believe in honesty just as much.  I don't like being used!  So I blocked his call.

I noticed an unfamiliar transaction in my checking account history and called my bank.  The transaction included a phone number that the bank staff called with me on the phone.  We spoke with a customer representative of the vendor that processed the transaction named Nick.  He informed us that the order was for a military watch and was sent to an address unknown address different from the address I live at.  The transaction amount was 378.88 and the vendor is Galls Intern a Police/Military supplier.  I have not ordered any police or military supplies and have no need for these items and could only think of the strange notice I received in the mail Friday (7/12/2013) the day before the transaction (7/13/2013).  The notice I received that was a photo copy of a letter with Great Lakes letter head.  It did not include an account number, only my name, address, and social security number.  I called Great Lakes who had no information on the notice and referred me to US Bank and the collection department within Great Lakes.  After speaking with a representative in the collection department of Great Lakes, I was given a phone number to a company named Performant Recovery.  The rep I spoke to at Performant gave me the number for a company called Collection Technology Inc.  I spoke with a representative named Summer at Collection Technology Inc, who asked me several detailed questions about my finances and ultimately my credit/debit card information.  I was told that this information was needed in order to stop the income withholding from my paycheck.  The next day there was this fraudulent transaction on my account.

This is the number for Collection Technology, Inc., based in California.  They are debt collectors used by many legitimate organizations, but they are pretty shady in how they operate.

Your student loans are not affected by the 7-year rule. They can keep this up forever and then garnish your SSI or SS.

I called the number (877-522-6898) and they answered "CTI"  and said to leave a message. I think it it's a bill collector for a student loan.
My mom is 75 and been disabled 30 years. For the last 10 years she's had  $150/mo taken from her SS check (which isn't enough money to live on) for a student loan that was paid for several years ago. Now they're  charging her thousands of dollars in interest!
Three months ago I sent in all the paperwork required to prove her disability and stop the garnishment, and she's still waiting. They're a bunch of crooks! 😕

This # calls my # at least once per day.  They do not leave a message, but hang up shortly after the answering machine kicks in.  I think they get paid to pretend to be talking to people.  From what others up above have been saying about student loan debt, I now really can't imagine why they call my number!  Don't you need a student loan to be in debt?  I mean, seriously!  These people must be idiots or someone gave them my number in error.  Not dealing with it.  Period.  Blocking the number.

    Did not take the call
This number called my business just now and let it ring a long time while I was on the phone. They did not leave a message. Once completing my call, I checked their number on line and found reports on the number on this site. Now I am glad I didn't take their call.
