Did they say anything about sending a process server? My stepmother and father have received several calls from them trying to find me.

my sister and brother in law are getting several calls from this number and all they say is that they are watching their home. and they ask for my sister, they know where she works. lives, and her 4 last of her s.s and she has 24 hours to get back to them or they will have some papers sever to her. my sister and brother in law dont know who they are. can any one help them they got their numbers changed and still calls. this is called harassing calls

They called my job and say It's regarding case # blah ,blah .. and the attorney's number to call is 877 523-3986 I f I don't call rigth away to arrange a time and date to be served they will send the constable here to serve me at work . and they call me several times and call me names ( child , be responsible ) pay your debt and be responsible I terminated the call and click .

these people called my place of employment claiming they were the county attorneys office. when i called them they and confronted them about it the man on the phone told me not to call him again

A man called me today stating that I had a court date this week and if I didn't show up the Court would find me in contempt.  He wouldn't give me any other information other than where supposedly I was served - an address that I hadn't lived at for over a year.  He said all I can tell you is to call this number 877-523-3986 and give them the complaint number.  I asked what the complaint was for and what county and he keep saying I just gave it to you - which I can tell you that the number he gave me was not a complaint number (as in a legal case).  He said the name on the papers was WPG. He called from a private number.  After I asked too many questions - as I understand a lot about the legal system - He said I'm just trying to help you.  Don't show up.   I don't care.  And then he hung up.  I believe he is calling from a collection agency trying to locate me.

They called me also and said it's re: a case # .. talking about I owe some outrageous amt. of money than we got disconnected and he left me a msg stating that they will serve me with papers at an old address and they also had old job info. If they are bill collectors, they are very rude and I want to know how to report them.  Any suggestions......

Received messages from 877-523-3986 stating that I have a civil case against my property. They state that I owe a bank $2900 dollars, which is a bank I have never had any type of account. They asked that I could settle the case by giving them $1000 and wanted me to provide my account number or a credit card. And if I don't settle this, a sheriff will be sent to my house to serve me.

Any idea how I can report them?

When you call this 877 number, the greeting says their company name is Western Performance Group.

A man called me saying he had papers to serve me. I was being sued for a credit card. I had 24 hours to get this settled or I would have to go to court. When you call this number the man there is very rude. Tells you he could careless, and hangs up on you.They have all of your information.......

Man called and lied saying he was with the county and they were going to have me served papers by the sherrif.  Called and spoke to one of the rudest men I have ever been in contact with.  He said I owed money and I had to pay it or they were going to have me served papers.  I told him thataccording to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, he had to send me a letter in writting on their letterhead stating that I owed them this money and proof that I owed it.  He laughed at me and said I know I owed this debt and he didn't have to do any such thing.  He wanted me to just give him my bank information without anything in writting from them and I said no.  I want proof that I owe this money and it has to be on your letterhead.  He said some very rude things and hung up on me.  They have lied numerous times in our conversation and the voice mail.

DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY TO THIS COMPANY!!! SCAM< AND VERY VERY RUDE. They cannot summons you to court. I just went through this today. Report to Better Business Bureau....

I received a call today from a RESTRICTED number and answered thinking it was a relative calling as their number is unlisted.  It was man saying the same as above he was a process server, and was calling to verify my address and would I be home between 4 and 5pm. I said yes. I asked him several questions and he said all he knew was that it was some type of papers for court and that the number to call and find out information was 1-877-523-3986 and the case # was ####. I usually don't give out any information or confirm anything, but they took me by surprise so I confirmed my identity and address. I hung up and looked them up on the internet and saw several comments about them - Western Performance Group.  I immediately changed my phone number. Don't worry if you get a call from them they are NOT working with the Sheriff or anyone else - they are scum bottom feeder collection agents and you do NOT have to put up with the abuse.  Just tell them do not contact you anymore on the phone, send a letter via US mail. If they continue to call and harrass you can take them to court and sue them - Don't give them any bank account or credit card information. Don't answer or hang up if they are abusive.

Called me and left msg and said he was with the sheriff department and said that if I do not call back within 24 hours then I will be served with papers... Came to this sight to check out the number so I will turn him over to my Pre-Paid Legal Team....

Omg . I got a call from them too. but as i check my credit report .. You know what it's true.  So i ended up paying them. And it help me a lot to pay my Collections house. So when can always think what we want .or what others say ..

I received a call from a restricted number and then a message stating that this company had tried to serve me a court ordered summons to appear for a credit card debt that I had. He was very rude and said that I was committing fraud b/c of this card not being paid. When I tried to get more information from him, and some paperwork to support this claim, he said that the negotiating time was over and that I had to make payment right then to stop the process of being sued. He quoted alot of personal information straight from my credit report and when I had a problem with that, he started calling me a smart [***] and that I wasnt cooperating and he was going to call the law firm who was supposedly sueing me and tell them I didnt care and I was accepting that I stole every purchase placed on the card and that I was refusing to pay it. PLEASE do not trust these people! It's a SCAM!!

Somone Named James Reed LCS Legal Claims called my work said it is in reference to case # XXXXX and it is a formal complaint to contact # 1-877-523-3986 but what was funny the caller id at my office showed 877-225-8191 , Then he commence to tell one of my co-workers it is a attorneys office calling.

scum bag stating i was going to be served by the sheriff's dept for a civil suit.  18775233986.  Sounded quite rude, so I told him to F-off!  I have no dings on my credit report!

I just got a message on my cell phone from a Donald Cooper.  When I checked my voicemail, the number being called from was 657-859-4706, which when I googled it came up with a cell phone #. His message stated he worked for Legal Claim Service office and stated that if I didn't return the call (and gave a claim # to give when I did) within 24 hours they would assume the address was valid and I was being served by the sheriff.  He gave my address and used my maiden and married last names (I recently got married).  I know for a fact that legitimate companies or agencies do NOT call you to state they are coming to serve you.  They will just show up.  If you are not there, then it gets sent back to whomever and they send it certified or registered with ID and signature required.  This way, they know for sure that the item was received and by the proper person.

I got a phone call from a man by the name of "Donald Cooper" he said he was calling on behalf of Legal Claims Service and needed to speak with me. I said that I was not the person they were looking for and that its a family member who does not live with me anymore and we dobt really speak.
He said its important and had to do with serving of papers. I replied well I can take a message but can't promise they will get it in a timely manner since they don't live with me and we don't speak.
He said to call the Filing Firm at 1-877-523-3986 and to give case # he provided.
I played stupid and asked if the company I was calling was called Filing Firm and he said no that's just A filing firm. So I asked "well, what's it called?" He said he didn't know he just represents the Legal Claims Service.
I didn't keep asking questions didn't want him to get suspicious that I am who he is looking for and keep calling.
The call came in private.
I am in debt with misc things but am out of work and whatever money I make goes to my proity feed and put a roof over my son's head.  so I am trying to avoid bill collectors but for those that are worried:
#1 no one will tell you they are coming to serve you. This is a scare tactic to get you to call them back. These people will try whatever they can to get paid.

I just got a call from this number (they left voice mail) and the guy claimed to be calling from the County Process Servers Office. (Today is a holiday, wouldn't they be closed??). His first name was Dan.....I don't know his last name, because he mumbled it. He also doesn't know my last name, because the 3-4 times he said it, he mumbled that also.

He left a case number and said if I didn't call back, they would consider that to be a validation of my home address. ( Kinda stupid if you think about it. What if they are dialing a wrong number? That person isn't going to call back to someone they don't know and know nothing about......so they'd be validating someone else's address?? LOL..Morons)

I don't know how they got my cell phone number either. They had  been calling my parents house for the past 6 months.  I haven't lived there in 15 yrs! You would think that if this was from something recent, they'd have my current address. There's nothing on my credit report where I own anyone anything either.
