- LindaI have had 2 calls from here yesterday and today each time the caller has had a different name and has these 2 deals for me each one different and the first one they wanted $3.09 and when I said I didn't have it they were going to pay the $3.09 they wanted to send me gas card but wanted my credit card number why if they are paying the shipping and handling would they need my credit card number? ..............The second one was all these things for $49.95 they leave their name they are using for the day and this number hang up on them don't listen to them ...........................I fear some elderly people might fall for this scam and think someone needs to press some kind of charges against the company or whoever is to be held responsible for the actions of these people
- colleen| 1 replyI got this call too on friday april 16th 2010, Pretty soon people are going to get sick of these calls and mabey together they can get some strickter laws or consequenses for these jerks who keep doing this. I've gotten alot of these kind of calls lately and from different numbers and there all the same kind. Just the other day a guy called and wanted my husband and he said something about dental something, (I had a hard time understanding his speech somewhat), and I told him he wasn't here, and then 1 minute later I got the same guy calling my personal cell phone number that my father gave me to carry incase when I am out in my car and I break down then I can call someone, . My husband can't even remember my cell phone number. Anyway this same guy calls my cell phone a minute after I talked to him on the house phone and he asked for my husbands name again. What's up with that? I know this guys voice sounded like the same guy that called us from a different number the month before trying to get me to buy a grocery card that would save me 50 percent off of all my groceries anywhere any store and at anytime as many times as I wanted to use the discount, for 49.dollars., all I had to do is flash the card to the grocery clerk. He kept calling and calling and wouldn't stop calling me. Then for a month it stopped and now we get this new phone number and the guy totally sounds like the same guy. He won't take no for an answer. He should stop while hes ahead.

- Lily-NYScam artists, trying to get your credit card number, everytime they are a different company, all bogus.
Sometimes they offer medical services, sometimes they claim to be ebt hotline giving away 500 dollar food cards, and they have a website where they sell vitamins. All scams. - Jan SassicJust received a call from this number - was trying to say I won a $600.00 gift card and then wanted my credit card to charge the $7.95 shipping. Was hitting on me on the phone and trying to get more personal information from me. BE AWARE - I don't know if this is a scam or not - I can say the gentleman hardly spoke english and sounded like he was calling from another country.

- mspam917I called Monumental Life Insurance company-National Service Center at 800-636-3080. I was told that they had changed call centers but I had won a $500 free groceries and $100 Wal-mart card. "David" who I had difficulty understanding stated he wanted to explain what I won while his computer pulled up the new number I needed. To make a long story short, they will bill your phone number $9.99 a month for the grocery service coupons and $6.95 a month for the walmart gift card. You get the service for free for 30 days after that the billing starts unless you cancel before the trial period is up. Oh yeah, by the way, they will send you details on how to cancel when the 30 days is up!! SCAMMM!

- AdrianMy mom just got a call from these people and spoke first to a guy named Frankie and then a guy named Alfred. First they said she won a 500 dollar grocery gift certificate then they said she got two 25 dollar Wal-mart gift certificates. All she had to do to get them was listen to a recording and a pay a fee of 18.85. So she listened to the recording and gave her card number but then they asked for more personal information. Then one recording turned into five recordings or more. The one membership program turned into four memberships or more. I don't remember how many memberships the recording told her. She was given this phone number to cancel (888-326-7156). She looked up the phone number she was given to cancel the memberships while she was on the phone and found out that there were a lot of complaints for that number and saw all the negative comments. That is how she found this website. She decided to cancel the whole transaction right then and there. When she told Alfred to cancel the transaction, he informed her that he couldn't because it had already been done or something like that. The only way to cancel was to call this number he said and to give them a conformation number. That was the first number they gave her. She called the bank to ask them if they were affiliated with these people. The banker said that they were not. They also said they would never give out free gift cards in exchange for personal information or fees. The banker advised her to close out her credit card and to monitor her bank account for any fees related to this call. When she came back to tell the guy to cancel, to stop the whole thing, he wouldn't do it. He said he couldn't do it because it had already been done. So she told the dude to hold on and went to talk to the banker again. While she was talking to the banker to close her card, he hung up. He called back a few minutes later. This time I answered the phone and he asked for my mom. When my mom spoke to him again, she asked him want he wanted. He said he wanted to finish the transaction. She told him she didn't want to finish it and that she wanted to cancel it. He told her she would need a conformation number to cancel it. My mom said "OK. Give me the conformation number so that I can cancel." He said she had to finish the transaction in order to get a conformation number. She said "Fine. Finish the transaction." He said she would have to listen to two more paragraphs. The two more paragraphs turned out to be two more memberships. Then they asked for her credit card number again and then they gave her the conformation number. They also gave her a second number to call cancel (877-534-5252). When she told them that there were to many complaints about this number, he adamantly disagreed and pleaded with her to wait for the membership package to come 2-5 days later and then cancel. She told him she would try to cancel as soon as she could. Before she hung-up, she also told him she would call that number to make sure it wasn't a scam and that she was going to cancel. He said "Nobody forced you to do this. Why didn't you cancel before the first person sent you to me?" My mom told him "I didn't know that you guys were going to ask me so many questions regarding my credit card or personal information." He still said nobody forced her. She told him that in a way, they did force her because in order to cancel she needed a conformation number and in order to get the conformation number she had to finish the transaction. She told them many times that she didn't want to finish the transaction. So finally, she finished the transaction and got the conformation number. He hung-up the phone. I called both of the numbers, and What do you know. I got a recording that said "We're sorry. Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and call again." As the daughter of a person that got called, I advise you to beware of this number and watch out for this scam.

- LeeBEWARE!!!! It's a scam!!! I was calling "Razor" (the scooter, dirt bike company) and got them some how. They said they were selecting random callers who were calling Razor and I was selected to win a $500 gift card...for a one time fee of $16.94 for shipping and handling. I kept questioning the offer and the 2 guys I spoke with (Ronnie Austin and Joyson Lewis) promised me it was legit, blah, blah, blah!! After telling me there was one step left by confirming my info on a recording, that was when I was done!! While the guy was pushing me to move on to the recording & confirm my info...I went on google and searched their phone number and luckily this page came up & I told them to cancel everything, I know this is a scam and they better not charge my card!! They asked me how and why I think this is a scam & I told them I googled their number and I am seeing all complaints & people saying it's a scam. He then told me that he couldn't cancel it because my card had been charged the shipping & handling fee and I told him he better credit me right away or I am reporting him to the police that I was recording this conversation as well...then the story changed and he told me nothing had been charged!! As soon as I hung up, I called my credit card company and canceled by card. The credit card company said they did not recieve any calls confirming my card and thanfully no charges had been made!!! I have NEVER fell for a scam before AND I have never given my credit card over the phone before...until now & I feel so stupid! This will NEVER happen to me again!!!

- Do not sign upI was calling Barclays Bank and somehow (like others said) got a person who said that I had won a $500 grocery card that could be used almost anywhere. The catch is there is a $6.95 shipping charge but also if you don't cancel within 30 days they will continue charging you the $6.95. Said they were Grocery Savings Company. I verified not related to Barclays.
