They state that there will be a small processing fee $3.?? and you will receive the $50.00 gift card in 3-5 business days.  They request name, address and some credit card info and that you will only be charged once the card is received.  I stated that "you should have this info (name, address) already and then I hung up.  Anyone requesting credit card info from me, need not bother sending me a gift card!
    Beware!!!

Finally got someone on the line They said that my name was selected from some site visitation along with several others. 2.95 shipping fee for a $50 gift card to Wal-Mart. They are located in ARIZONA, PHOENIX, and the name of the company is CENTRAL REWARDS, 8775457561. He gave me a # for the corporate headquarters and I have not tried to call and will not, but it's 8775457559. Scam!!!

I just received a message  via sms on my cell saying I won a $200 gas voucher and $25 Walmart Gift Card.  I gave them the $2.95 processing fee on my credit card but didn't give them the 3 digit security code on the back.  I had to agree to 2 offers and they said I can cancel those offers before the trial time period.  I had to listen to 2 messages and say yes or no.  If I said no to either one I would not get the activation number for the voucher and card.  The messages were so fast, but I did get the phone #s and called and neither of them worked.  So how am I going to cancel something with a phone # that doesn't even work?
I was sms'd by 877-556-2924 and the guy said his name was Jason Parker but sounded like he was Indian.  Jason Parker is an American name...Red Flag #3. I was stupid and gave them my credit card info and now I have to call back and cancel my order.  Hopefully they don't screw with my bank account.  Scam, scam, scam, scam, scam, scam!

got the message sent to cell phone - $200 gas card (didn't get the walmart card - oh well).

The number was 855-212-1318 (sounds just like the 877-556-2924)

Usually I'd have deleted it - but I was curious. The Indian guy in Arizona (didn't make a note of his name) said I was one of only 20 people to be selected - yeah! - ha ha ... Well, seems I only had to give them one dollar - wow, what a deal ... I asked the name "Central Rewards" in Phoenix Az. ... I told him I'd look up the company and if it looks legit, I'd call back --- whoops! I lost connection --- wonder how that happened?  ha ha

p.s.: Tim, call your credit card company or go to your bank - they can stop any unauthorized charges (as well as the $2.95 charge) then cancel it & have them send you a new card. good luck, Rob

I received a call from 877-556-2924.  The voice was Indian. The man identified himself as Mark Watson.  He wanted to give me a free $200.00 gas card and a $50.00 WalMart card for the small fee of $2.95.  I asked him lots of questions and he gave me the name of his company as Central Rewards out of Phoenix, AZ.  I googled it right away and found no such name on the first page.  So I decided to test him.   I offered to send him a check for $2.95  he refused saying that it must be purchased with plastic!  A credit card only.  When I told him I needed to check with my husband first he told me I must decide right away because I was one of 5,000 - 6,000 people who were selected and he couldn't call me back.  I told him to nevermind then.  I would have my husband call himif we were interested.  Then I hung up.

I am certain this is a scam to get our CC info.  Don't do it.
If it sounds too good to be true...it probably is.

This is so crazy, I called the number that was messaged to me on my phone, about the 200 dollar gas card and the 50 dollar wal-mart card. The man from another country told me that all I needed to do was to give him a visa or mastercard number to pay for the shipping and handling(2.95), and it would be sent to me in the mail.I explained to him that I wouldnt have my card information for another two days. He replied, " Well you only have 72hours to call back to claim your prize." I called back this afternoon and another arab answered and told me it was just a 200 dollar gas card, and the shipping and handling was going to be 4.95 . I told him what the last guy told me he said he didnt know were I got that information from, or it must have been another company. So I had my husband call him from a totally different number than my own and a different man answered offering him the same deal that was given to me first!!! My husband questioned him on the suspicious acts at hand, and go figure they couldnt give us any answers. Then my husband let them know that he wasnt even sent a message. (So you mean to tell me that we can pass this number on to anyone and everyone can get 250 dollars for 2.95/4.95 or whatever they say it is...) Yea Right......... ITS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought as a college sophomore, I knew nothing about staying away from scams. But Captain LAPTOP saved the day when I got the text message on my phone saying I just won a $200 Gas Voucher and to call 1-877-695-1613. As soon as I got on the phone, I thought he already had all my information. So why would he then ask me for my name? Red Flag #1. Then, he said that all I need to do to get the Gas card in the mail is to pay a small fee of $2.95. Red Flag #2. Then he asked me for my credit number: ALARM #3. I asked him the name of the company, but because I didn't understand his Indian accent, I asked him to spell it. It spelled Central Reward. So I told him to hold on a second while I get my card. I quickly got on google and researched the company and got all these different blogs about it being a scam. Thank the Lord for the Internet. LOL. I quickly hung up without even telling him why.

Someone from 623-330-8529 text messaged me about "crap" and to call 877-695-1613. Suggestion to all: Call the sender not the advertised 877-695-1613 phone number. I don't stop calling the sender as s/he pissed me off for unauthorized text messaging. The text message came from 623-330-8529.

This is for real. I thought that it was real and was about to do it....then I thought...the chance of it being real is so slim and they would of or should have known your name and everything already!!! Do not do it. Don't let them fool you. Instead call back and tell them to stfu!!!

I've been getting calls almost every day for the last 2 weeks asking me to verify my mailing address, that they had my debit card # (and they DID! He verified it!).
like all the others, it was "Leroy" from Eastern India telling me he was in Phoenix AZ.
When he said he had the wrong mailing address I asked him to verify what he had, he wouldn't.  I asked him for a customer servicer phone #, he wouldn't give me one.  He said they were going to charge my card $90 (NINETY DOLLARS?!) today, I told him he didn't have permission and he told me they were going to ANYWAY!   He said they had already sent the recording with me giving them permission to charge my card to my bank!

I told him that by not giving me a customer servicer phone # to call back, he was already breaking the law, and that by me telling him YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO CHARGE MY CARD, he legally could not, and he STILL persisted on telling me he was going to anyway!  HA HA HA HA HA

I told him he was a scam and he told me "How dare you call me a scam!"   I started laughing so hard I couldn't speak, he hung up.

I called my bank, they do NOT accept recordings as "authorization" to charge my card, and she suggested I change my card # IMMEDIATELY.  I did.

Now, the next time "Leroy" or "Walter" calls me, I'll just let them go on and on, and waste their time like they've wasted mine.

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!

ANOTHER call from this same company, this time they used a local # of 623-327-3502 and a name Nancy Bolz came up.  After they hung up on me for not verify anything, I tried to call it back and it was disconnected, surprise surprise.
I have cancelled my debit card and had to get another, just in case.
I re-registered all my phone #'s on the DO NOT CALL registry, and reported them to another few agencies.
I have reported them so far to the Better Business Bureau, the FBI's fraud complaint website, Arizona State Attorney General and my local phone company - Qwest.  Of course Qwest can't do anything about the millions of numbers they are using, they can't track them all, and I cannot block them because every time they call it's from a different number.

I also reported them to 3 On Your Side, a local news station that investigates things for people, but not sure if they will do anything about it.

Central Rewards has actually ARGUED with me that whether I give permission or not they are gong to charge my card even if I tell them not to.  I tell them that's illegal and they don't care.
DO NOT VERIFY ANY INFORMATION WITH THIS AGENCY.

I next plan on giving them the address of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave  Washington D.C. 20500 to see if they'll try that!  LOL

They called this morning at 7:14am and woke me up.
My next call will be my lawyers office.
