Got a call from a woman at "appstar" this morning.  I have had phone calls from this number for the past several weeks.  After she introduced herself, I said, "I'm really not interested in what you have to selll."  She said, "What am I trying to sell?"  I said, "A credit card portal".  She said, "I'm not trying to sell that."  It finally ended with me saying "This is my private number."  She said, "Well I didn't know this was your private number.  Do you still work at XXXXXX?"  I said "None of your business"... and hung up.  CAN YOU BELIEVE SHE HAD THE NERVE TO CALL AGAIN?  I didn't answer.

Guy called after answered with company name he asked if this was "Sweet tooth" stated no and he asked company name. I told him name and he asked to speak to the owner. I then asked if he is calling for "sweet tooth" or our company. He said all companies in the buffalo area. Put him on hold and he hung up.

I just received one of those calls asking for "Richard". We have no Richard at this company. He gave me an incorrect address and I told him it was not our address and he apologized and hung up.

I am not well and I continue getting calls from this number and noone will speak and they don't leave messages.  They will call as many as three or four times a day.  Would like for the calls to stop.

caller said he was from Appstar??!! says"yo dude" told him to never call again. hung up.

Calling my Do No Call listed residential number at 8:30am.

Harrassing, threatening calls from a woman who is obviousley african american.....I think if she were in the same room with me I would be physically assaulted.  I am thinking of getting a restraining order from her and this company.

Second verse same as the first.  They call my personal cell number and ask for the owners of the business I work for.  I tell them they are not available and ask if I can help them and they hang up on me.  Or, the call and hear my voice and hang up.  I'm waiting for them to call back one more time so I can vent my frustration to them before permanently blocking their calls.

At least this one asked to speak with an owner. That puts them one step above those who try to scam any kid who answers my business phone.

They called my place of employment looking for someone and when I told them they were not here they hung up. Then proceeded to call a second time, immediately after THEY hung up on ME and asked for a different boss. I said 'Let me put YOU on hold to see if they are still here' and they hung up. Next step was going to be leave them on hold for a while, twiddle my thumbs, then ask for their name, and leave a message. Never got to that point. Ho hum.

Business owner - received a call wanting opportunity to receive our credit card processing business.  When told "appreciate your call but we are not interested at this time"  the lady kept talking so was told "to have a good day and I hung up".  Lady called back and chewed me out stating that professional courtesy would have been to listen to her opportunity completely and not interrupt her, over talk her, etc.  Told her customer was always right and not to call again - hung up and the lady was still yelling.  Can someone NOT stop this company!!!!!!!

Seems telemarketing companies are finding loopholes in the do not call laws. Now they identify themselves as "National Vendors who would like to to business with me." This company is called Appstar or Avstar. Submitted complaint to donotcall.gov.

they called my office pretending to be my credit card provider saying "mr peterson" will stop by to upgrade my system, then finished with hope we earn your business.  they had my address and after calling back to ask them not come and disrupt patients i added my number to the do not call list, and in the automated answering they said they did indeed purchase information.  not happy.
