Just got a call from this number but I do not ever answer strange calls.

Hello! i get calls from this number and it says its from a Trinity Health System, i live in Michigan
does anybody knows where is this place located at

Caller Name is First Solution USA calling on behalf of the Wheaton Franciscan Health care to see if I am elligible for free health services and that I should reference a certain # that they provide to expidite my process.

They have called my number more than 100 times with the same message.  At one point I called them back and asked them to remove my name from their roster which they did, but after a while they resumed calling me again. By the way, it is always a recorded message and never a live person. The best way is not to answer the call once you see number on your caller ID.

call my cell phone every day and leaves message, i have tracfone and minutes are expensive, should be against the law

Calls at least once a week on my cellphone with an entirely recorded message, directing me to call another number for healthcare services. This IS against the law and everyone receiving calls like this should file a short complaint with the FCC.

Hi, They keep calling over & over. I just sit there & let the answering machine get. They claim to be MED. ASSISTANCE 877-5545123 with a reference #. I have never got a call that didn't want to help their self & want your money, that same phone  # has to many names for me. Thank you all !!! for your input.

I just received the same phone call from that number and they left a message that stating that they are from Med assist with St.Mary's / St. Vincent hospital. Last night I received a letter in the mail from them. I did have a recent hospital stay and filled out the appropriate paperwork for assistance with the hospital.. Not sure what to make of this.

I did,as well. Starting to regret it. I've asked once before that they not call me again,but apparently they don't listen or just plain don't care. They've called me once a week,every week this month and it's starting to get a little old.

877-554-5123 is from  Med Assist/First Source.  They offer help for medical bills.  I recently went to the emergency room and they have contacted me to see if I need help with the medical bill.  The reference number that they list when they call is your reference number you are assigned.  Nothing illegal about it.  

this same exact number called me and it is legit. the reason for calling it to see if you qualify for free medical health services that help pay for your bills

I'm sorry to correct you but you are wrong it is not illegal for a company to call and offer free services but what is illegal as for a company to call and ask you for money and banking information

Incorrect!

If a person has registered on the Do Not Call List, =ANY= unsolicited telemarketing call is "illegal".
(Exception:  person has previous business arrangement with the company)

I just received my bachelors in Criminal Justice. I think I know what I am talking about. This company only received information from a hospital someone went to and upon discharge, they were asked if they had and financial help to help pay medical bills. After they said no, their contact information is turned over to first source as an aid to help cover medical costs and tonseenif you qualify to other programs in your state. So there you go. Not illegal if you solicited your number to get assistance. Anyone and everyone that asked about this number went to the ER at one point a couple days if not weeks prior to getting called by this number.

Also the hospital didn't violate hippa laws when giving contact info out to agencies that offer free services. Hippa protects medical info.

2.  Do you see ANY evidence in this thread that any poster solicited help, or gave permission to release their personal information to a third party?

Sorry, I doubt your previous statements have any real basis in either fact or jurisprudence.

They are a financial  recovery service for hospitals. The want you to sign power of attorney papers so the can control your bank accounts, credit cards, home and auto loans, basically anything of value.

I received exact same call as you and received the same letter, but haven't filled it out and returned, also did not answer phone when they called several times, just listened to recorded message... If you get assistance, please let me know, or any info would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance!

This is a scam  they say they are from apple  and want money to fix my computer apple computer block this number  went on bbb  and they are a scam company  also  1888 240 8649  i blocked this number
