call back number from energy door to door scam sales slime

A neighbor posted a flyer with this callback number that has Edison like logo and at top of flyer says Covid as if electricity is related to Covid ! I looked up the phone number and it took me to a Facebook pg which took me to a website !

It is a Solar Energy company and it does not claim to be Edison nor does the logo look like theirs. Posting about a flyer that has a number is not the same thing as getting an unsolicited call from a number. Don't like the flyer, then throw it away!

Even Edison warned that it's a scam!

I looked all over and could not find any warnings posted about the Solar company "K Ruth" posted about, the one using this number on a flyer.  Could you post a link to it so everyone can see it? All I found were warnings of scammers impersonating them from a phone call.

I don't see anything on their site.  The Facebook page only comes up in Google and was made January 21.  The website it takes you to has no address or California Contractor's License Number on it and was made 3/21/20 and expires next year.  Privacy service of course.

After reading that website some more, it seems they are a group advocating the use of Solar Power , not actually selling anything. It could be a marketing gimmick, could be scammers, but based on what "K Ruth" posted, it is a flyer passed around by a neighbor with this number. Claimed the notice was about COVID and the logo looked like Edison's. No other info about what was said on the flyer. Then they looked up this number and found what we found. There was nothing on that site claiming to be selling anything nor that they are even a company, that was my assumption that it was a company, but further reading seems to indicate they are only spreading the word about Solar energy and looking for supporters.

It does seem a bit sketchy, but without viewing what was actually on that flyer, all I could conclude is it was something to toss in the trash and ignore it, based on what was posted. It could have simply been the typical "be safe, keep your distance and stay at home during this pandemic" kind of flyer. We can't simply stamp a big red "SCAMMER" label just because we don't know all the details and it looks sketchy.

Right and this is a site about phone calls, not junk mail or flyers or post-it-notes.

I agree, but unfortunately people are going to keep posting about any phone number, whether it was one that called them, one that they called or one they found written somewhere.
