call wanting to settle check cashing loan that i have no knowledge

A Debt Collector posing as a law group! Complete group of Scumbags!!!

got VM: man from another # left this 877# and case number, asking for person not at my number. I called back original #, a woman answered 'Nelson Group'. She said person they were looking for gave my # for a man as reference. I explained that man has been dead for years, he lived with me for 10 years prior, and woman they were looking for was his wife 20 years ago.  She agreed to remove my#.  This sounds like debt collection and they are searching all possible leads.

Called telling me I was getting served at my job on Oct 20th that they had sent a letter I didn’t respond to.(I never received such letter). Claiming I owed a hospital I had never been to 4,000.00. Claiming some Florida law that they have to wait 10 years to file suit which is false. They are not real debt collectors because if they were they have to tell you from the start this is an attempt to collect a debt and that the call is being recorded. Long story short they told me I needed to pay 1890.00 within an hour or they would file a judgment against me in court. They are a scam and pretty convincing I might add if your not aware of the laws on debt collection. Whatever you do don’t pay them a dime.

Scam! REAL process servers don't call in advance. Block and ignore such calls if you can.

Called me today saying I have lawsuit out against me under a name I have not used in over 15 yrs, then tried to get me to confirm my personal info like bday etc. The clerk did not seem to know anything and kept saying she was new and not sure. So this seems like total scam.

keep calling my house number, no one calls my house, the lady called to said that I need to call a 877 number that they have a lawsuit against my father, but she does not anything about it but I need to call the 877 number..

Called saying they were from the “Processors Office” of my county.  They said that I needed to call by noon to have my “papers processed”.  I asked what city and the guy said “why do you need to know that?”.

Called from phone 612-437-7622, then left a voice mail claiming that "Your existing Spectrum account is eligible to receive discounts, call us at 877-563-0015" Don't have an account with whoever and I just blocked them.
