Got a message from LEXUS VISA card ask me to call this number. Speaking Spanish, no idea. Scam!

I received a text message to call 877-563-4477 regarding a bank who processes transactions with a retail company. It turned out to be legit. However, I did mention to the CSR that it would be helpful to have a welcome message stating the company and not go directly to music on hold, followed by a recorded message that all rep are busy and the next avail would be w/you shortly. I gave the young girl a challenge in that I barely answered her questions, just enough to where she gave me a hint to confirm each other. She understood and said I'm not the only person who has said that. Hopefully the company will be a little more open about who they are when you call.

This is a scam.. Don't give these people your information. I called Comenity for the cards I have and none of them reached out to me as I am not delinquent with them.

Text from 564-66 says: “We keep missing you - Call Comenity Bank RE: J.CREW @ 877-563-4477 or bit.ly/27rzZw5 To stop Texts STOP to opt out or HELP” They can e-mail me if they need, I did not opt into these, link goes to an apparently legitimate Payment Help Center page but one that logs you in by taking the full credit card oraccount number and last four digits of your SSN and zip code. No.

Called the number (877-563-4477) from the text message received because I have an account with Comenity Bank. Subject answered and asked for phone number associated with account. Gave him my common # and he said system having difficulty processing the number. Then asked for full name, which I gave. Then he asked for address and social security number. I told him that I would not relay that information because of Fraudulent calls. He immediately hung up. The big clue for me was asking for full social security number, which no creditor will do.

Sends HSN under number 509-00, don't have home shopping network account, gave 877-563-4477 to call, did not call, looked it up instead
