They called stating I owe money from a wells fargo account. I called wells fargo because I have no recolection of this account, and what do you know, Wells Fargo doesn't either! They told me wells fargo wouldn't have record because the account was sold. Wells fargo stated this is BS. He was very rude to me. I asked for him to prove to me I owe this money and his response was "I am not your friend I dont have to prove anything to you." RED FLAG! South Dakota State Law says and Collector, calling to collect on a debt has to provide documentation proving the money is owed. I filed a complaint with the FTC. When I called back to have my number removed, as soon as I said FTC she responded with "Okay i'll remove your number have a good day." and the hung up on me. NICE TRY! :) I hope they catch you soon and you get what you deserve!

Just glad you guys had experience, because I just got a call from them.  The message was way over the top considering they want me to call them back.

I have also received calls from number 253 321- 5688 Sumer Wa.  They state they are from the offices of Alexander and Stetano  and  to call them back at 877 576 3792. They state they will take further action if I dont call them back. I want this to stop!!!!! Total scam!!

The last time a collection place said something like that to me, my husband found where they were located. He then looked up all the laws regarding collections and emailed it to them stating that if they ever contacted us again that he would file a lawsuit against them for all the ways they were breaking the law and they could have what we owed (like $100) out of the many thousands they would pay us for the harassment. Good for all of the people on this site for looking up this company and taking action against them.

I just got one from the too. They have called a couple of times and they call my house and my cell phone. They called me from1-916-527-0414 and left a message that they were from Alexander and Stefano law to please callback to 1-877-576-3792.

I recieved two message that where on my Aunt's answering machine.  The weird thing is it was for my last maiden name and not my married name.  I had not had my maiden name for over 20 years.  It is a total scam.  Anytime anyone gets a call like this be alert.  There are hundreds of scams.  There is also one with the FBI contacting you for help them with a case.  They even send a good looking email with all the FBI logos and pictures.  BEWARE.  If it was a legal issue, they would mail something in the mail.  Even then you would need to be very cautions.  Always research if you get something that seems different in nature or is a threatening call.  Even Collection Agencies have restrictions on harassing you.  It is sad to say, but the tactics of scammers, theives and con-artists are going to more extremes to scare people out of his/her money.  Don't be afaid to call the local police, sheriff's or government agencies to seek out information about a phone call that is threatening in nature as the Alexander Law Firm that I also received.  Please remember to never, NEVER call them back and give out any information.  It is scary to get such threatening calls, but don't panic.  Reach out, research, investigate, and call your local law offices, police, government agencies.  Don't become a victim!

I got a call from this number 714-202-9822 said to call 877 576 3792 said they are from Alexander and Stefano. That I needed to call back or my legal representative needed to call back, it not then further action will be taken on me. The 714 # is from California.. I live in TX. I am  not even gonnna bother calling them back.

I have also received a call from  (253) 321- 5688 Sumner WA. his name is Martinez said that they are from the offices of Alexander and Stefano  and  to call them back immediately  at 877 576 3792. or press 1 to connect to one of their staff member.They  will take further action if I don't call them back.

They called and I spoke to them.  They are a collection agency claiming to have a bad debt.  They are very rude.  They said I've been contacted several times by a third party collection agency about the debt which wasn't true.  Threatening to turn me over to check systems.  Started talking about a judge.  Idle threats.

The BBB has reached out to the business on several occasions. The business has not attempted to answer the BBB in regard to concerns we have about their debt collection practices.
