Left a message from PayPal Working Capital. I do have a loan with them, but it's not late or delinquent. Message said I could log onto my account to see message, but I didn't have one.

The message is a script and does state that there will be a message on your dashboard, but encourages you to log into dashboard in hopes you check progress of the loan. They will reach out even if you aren't delinquent, but pacing delinquency in accordance with 10/90 terms (10% of loan + fee paid every 90 days)

Indeed as already states, this is PayPal Working Capital and they do contact you a bit ahead of your 10/90 date, especially if sales have been a bit slow and you are behind. It is a legitimate call courtesy call to keep you up to date.

This is a complete scam. They specifically target elderly people. If you do seem like an intelligent person they will just ask you a few questions and then end the call. If you seem confused or easy to manipulate they will demand payments.

Yes, it's Working Capital.  What they did, and it's very deceptive and devious frankly (if you've ever had a previous loan with them), is change the contract to this 10/90 crap.  Since they in no way alerted me to that fact ahead of my doing the new loan and therefore I made the legitimate assumption that the contract was the same and therefore didn't even look at it, this is a very gray area for them legally, as MANY people have complained about these calls and the fact they weren't apprised there was a change in the contract.  The first time they called and I took the call was late last year - and I went off on them because they used the words "breach of contract" - well, no.  I did do the payment to catch up, which I immediately regretted, as I feel they are very much in the wrong.  Then they began calling again about eight weeks ago and I simply don't take the calls - there's nothing they can do legally if you don't let yourself be bullied by them.  And if you don't take the call they can't do anything anyway because there's no way for them to just take the money without your authorization to do so.

I receive mail from them at 2600 Michelson Drive, Suite 250, Irvine, CA 92612, and FYI tried to tell me I was being billed extra on a mortgage loan when, in fact, I am not.  This is a SCAM and I was advised by my mortgage company to be very careful dealing with information via mail or phone.

It seemed like a scam call: phishing information. They knew my birthday and phone number, and they kept asking me to provide my personal information for an affidavit against suspected fraudulent activity. I was unable to verify the company's identity. They gave me a callback number: 888-334-6250. That number does not seem to be connected to PayPal Credit, the company they are claiming to represent.
