- shiela pizzolattoreceived call from 877-635-0053, saying regarding unauthorized purchases on my Mid South Bank acct. Called number out of curiosity as I don't have acct. w/ Mid South Bank. They wanted my acct. number to check purchases. I hung up.
- Caller: said Mid South Bank
- JimThis is not a Not a Mid South Bank number. The bank has a web site with their numbers.
A scam.- Call type: Telemarketer
- MattJust got the same robocall as everyone else. Didn't answer. To my surprise I got a voicemail. Whoever these scammers are, they are getting better at their tactics. I could see this being a good way to prey on the elderly. I don't bank with MidSouth (though I live in the Deep South where their banks are prevalent), so to the untrained ear it sounds akin to a fraud alert you'd get from a regular bank or credit card company. Don't fall for it. I get calls all the time from hackers using someone else's number and always put the number in Google search, which invariably leads back to a site like this and someone saying "Total scam; wanted my account number for such-and-such a reason or tried to say I'd won a sweepstakes and needed my account number" or whatever. Everyone's always trying to get something for nothing. Sigh.

- JaniceI just received a call on my cell phone from 1-877-635-0053. I did not answer because I did not recognize the number. A recorded voicemail message was left saying my debit card may have been compromised and that I needed to call them because a temporary hold might be placed on the card. They said you could also go to the website Midsouthbank.com. I don't do business with any company named Mid South Bank. Like other comments regarding this call, it sounds like a scam. No, I did not call back nor did I visit their website. Beware!
- Caller: Mid South Bank (?)
- sagittariusladyJust got a call from this #. It is 8:28 pm on Sunday. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. I read all the other posts. Ironically, I used to bank with Mid South, but not for about 3 and 1/2 years. I am not even living in the same state I was in back then.
- RobertaThis is a scam. I received a call from this number on my cell, not my home phone. Local BBB has warned folks in our region that this is a scam to great credit card and debit numbers. The local MidSouthBank has warned citizens that this is a scam. I didn't pick up but reading the above notes, I realized this was the scam mentioned in news cast on TV in my area . Be wary, folks.

- Susan H VignesReceived repeated calls from this # claiming a fraud alert on my (non-existant) Midsouth Bank debit card. They left a message asking to be called back @ the above # or at 1-337-237-8343. I assumed this was a scam & did not respond.
- Linda replies to EmilyGot the same message saying my Mid-South Bank credit card has been compromised. Called the number back on a week day and got Professional Property Management. I think the scammers are using PPM # during the weekend to scam.
- Linda BurtReceived call from 877-635-0053 stating my Mid South Bank credit card had been compromised. This was on a weekend. They want you to put in your 16 digit credit card. Don't even have a Mid South card. Funny thing is, if you call the number back on a week day, a recording comes on stating it is Professional Property Management.
- Caller: Mid South Bank
