Calling my work saying that they are going to take me to court

What did they say to you

They called me too. Said the same thing.

Said his name was Tom Lawson and I will be served at work or my home, and he gave me a case number and
said I was officially served.

Scam attempt.  You cannot be "officially served" via phone, fax or email.  Nor do you get a heads up you'll be served - the process server just shows up and hands you the court summons.

Same thing. They called me saying that I will be served and a case will be filed against me. I've been getting these calls for YEARS and without a doubt, I don't have ANY debt that I have defaulted on. It is completely insane. I'm honestly not sure how they get a hold of people's information. Just block the # and if they try to call any of your contacts, direct them to the endless online posts about these idiots and tell them to block the # as well.

Was looking for a family member.  Last week the man said he was a process server.  Today a woman said she was a locator person.  Had work and home information.  When I called the number back they thanked me for calling LSU.  
There is supposed to be 2 counts of fraud against my family member.  Cannot find who number belongs to.  Please let me know if this is a scam and what to do if they call back.

It's a scam  REAL process servers do not call you ahead of time, and they do not direct you to call anyone.  Their entire purpose is to serve legal documents - nothing else.  The "locator" is the same - real "locators" find someone and let their client know.  They don't call YOU  and tell you to call someone.  And if this were a legitimate caller, they certainly wouldn't be violating the privacy of your family member by calling you and disclosing this information - this is illegal.  Your caller is a scammer, nothing more, nothing less.  Block their number and report them to the FTC, FBI and your state's Attorney General.
