- C.L.Also rec'd text mssg from text@leadedutoday.com with #877-676-5828. I called, they refused to put me through to a supervisor stating "there is no supervisor on the floor", then "why do you need a supervisor, you gave a card # that was no good, so obviously you tried to scam us". Could not believe the way this dude (heavy India accent, but name was "Frank Williams" brother of "James Williams the first one I talked to) talked to me!! I would LOVE to see them prosecuted, but I tried to file a complaint with BBB. Their web site, company name (Central Rewards - Frank told me), and phone # cannot be found in their database. If ANYONE can track these guys, please make it public. Lets see some humiliation!!
By the way, I immediately cancelled the Visa card # I made the mistake of giving them. HAHA- Caller: "Central Rewards" Frank Williams told me that was their name
- C.L. replies to dale from txDale from Tx: sorry that you got taken for that scam. These guys reported their names as James Williams, then when I called back I got the same heavy India accent stating "my name is Frank Williams, James brother". Read my other mssg (from C.L.) for all the details. I called to cancel my credit card immediately after talking to them. Thank God no charges had been processed yet. They were extremely rude to me. I tried to report them on B.B.B., but no business name (Central Rewards) or phone number, or web address matched any business at all. How can we track where the calls are coming from?
- C.L. replies to Chris of Marylandto Chris of Maryland: they get our numbers by other companies that SELL lists of our numbers to them for a high price. It's all about money. Is that so surprising? They need to be found out, publicly.
- annoyed replies to Saðgë of ColoradoWhen you asked for them to remove you, did they? Did you have to provide your cell number that they originally texted you so they can perform the removal? once you give a place like this your # to be removed, then you just acknowledged your cell number exists are bound to get more texts. It's called a "sucker list" - not meaning to insult you, but the list is then sold and goes to multiple other places. There is no valid reason for giving your number to them - it will only create more grief. Call your cell company and pursue it from there as well as with the FTC and BBB - and local law enforcement.
- annoyed replies to dale from txclose your bank account and reopen a new one. they now have access to it - by your mistake, but the bank reversing the charges is only the beginning
- nick replies to dale from txthis happened to me to but when i told them that my debit card isnt activated but he kept askin for the number and then he hung up on me
- Brenda CollinsI recieved a phone call from this number an hour ago and after doing research, Im glad I did'nt fall for the scam they try to pass off. Heavy indian accent and the background would fall out when he was not talking, When I asked where the company was located, he told me a city near me. Said I was going to recieve a $200 gas voucher and $500 check because I've been a loyal customer to their site, when I asked the site name, he said government. wth? then asked if I had plastic? When I explained I do not carry a credit nor debit card, he told me I couldnt use prepaid with $3 on it, as I would had done hah.
then of course, I told him to keep the 200, and take me off the call list. He said they are random orders Correct Need Manner. No Scams.
