- DavidHad a Blocked cell call saying something vague about pending action against me and asking that I call this 877#. They knew my name. I called the number, but they refused to tell me the name of their agency or anything about what they do. I asked a few more questions and the woman hung up. Seemed liked a phishing scam. But wondering how they knew my name. Pretty elaborate.

- Doug| 1 replyThese twerps just call any numbers they can, over and over, until they get hold of someone that will actually pay the, out of fear perhaps. If they can't give you specifics, just ignore them, or better yet, use Caller ID and never answer their call again.
Or just pick-up the handset and immediately hang up, or if it gets Really BAD, GET ONE OF THE Panasonic cordless phones that has CALL BLOCK and let the phone hang up on them !!
The last thing they want to do is take you to court, because that would actually cost THEM money. As long as they can find folks that will volunteer to pay them money, even if no money is due, they come out ahead. - mindblower replies to DougThanks Doug. I feel much better now !
