Ok guys just thought i would share  :) You won't get a call from them but the number is used to try to scam you on PC repairs . If you ever find your browser stuck on a webpage telling you to call this number for virus removal do not .They are praying on people that have very little knowledge of computers ....... All that needs to be done is 1. Right click on bottom of the page "task bar" . Then left click on open task manager ..... From there you can simply click on the browser and then click end task . I have never been scammed by these people but I do get this every now and then . So I just thought I would share just in case .

Thanks for the info, which was very helpful in clearing the message. I did call the number that appeared on my screen, but ended the "help session" when the rep wanted access to my computer,

Scam company from India that pretend like they operate in the U.S., they would not tell me their company name and said that they operate from Washington D.C.

Spamming people across the internet by claiming that they are Microsoft technicians.

Stay away!

Same situation as BF, called them just to waste their time for about five minutes and make them say it will be $400 if a complex problem.  "Could you repeat that?"

"Oh I say at least $100 sir, we are Microsoft support"

"How about I think you are part of a scam that puts a virus on computers and them tries to rip people off?"

"Oh no no no sir, we are Microsft certified engineers and.."

"..and you are scumbags"  Click.

Now if I could just get the dame virus off my machine: tried freeware and i doesn't find it.  Probably in the registry file. Tht's what I get for going to those Sasquatch porn sites I suppose.

I called the number as well and when they said they needed to gain access to my computer I said not I don't trust them.  That I didn't even know where I was calling.  When I call the guy didn't even mention a company's name.  I said I will bring my computer to a store to get repaired.  He kept on insisting that he can do it free of cost and faster.  It's a SCAM!!!
