- Debbie| 3 repliesI answered the phone call from 877-689-5138 & listened to the recording that I needed to be home to receive a court summons. I called the number back & spoke with Michael Kirkpatrick. He said they're sending a sheriff out with a summons unless I pay my son's old credit card that I know has already been written off and that my son had to pay additional taxes in 2010 for. I told him the statute of limitations has run out (ID is 4 years) & that it was written off already. Michael said, "Well don't you think your son should pay this outstanding debt?" That was a trick question designed for me to say "yes" so that the statute of limitations would start over again. I'm not dumb. I said the debt was not mine & that he legally should not be talking to me about someone else's credit card debts. He didn't care. He wants money & he will try to get it any way possible. Do not fall for these people. I called the police and the courts and there is no judgment against my son. Watch these bad collector people. Mailing address they gave me is: Box 38, Chicago, IL 60699

- Debt free replies to DebbieHoly cow! It's 10 o'clock at night and I just got one of these calls! It scared me. I don't know who or what it is exactly for. My husband had an old account that he settled 10 years ago. He is currently deployed with the army. Our son underpaid on his taxes but got that straightened out. The IRS only sent him a statement and he paid it directly. So who knows what it could be for. I am so glad I looked up the number and found these responses before I talked to anyone personally. Be careful of any calls coming from this number, 877-689-5138 or the group going by Legal Outsourcing Services!
- WendyG.I, too, received a call from this number stating that I had a court summons being presented to me in person! My daughter USE to be a collector several years ago and she said this is an illegal tactic this collection company is using! My husband s an attorney- if they want to keep harassing me like this I will be happy to turn the tables on them and sue them for unethical practices and harassment!! Oh, and by the way, if you even SPEAK to a debt collector regarding an old debt that is older than 7 years, OR your account gets bought by another collection company the statute of limitations is null and void, and the 7 years starts ALL OVER AGAIN! :(

- All Fakes replies to DebbieI did the same thing with them. I also called the County and explained to them what had happened gave the "Supposed" Summon and it was bogus, did not exist. I was also told that if they called back stating that they were going to show up to also tell them to please do so on such and such time that my County Sherriff Department would be there to assist them in serving the so call summons. They have not called nor shown up. I wished they had I would have loved to hear them hang up on me LOL. I also have another one, if these people have called more than once then you know their numbers by now, do this,
You answer and very softly say : "THE JOB HAS BEEN DONE, BLOOD ALL OVER BUT DONE" I guarantee you they will freak out and hand up LOL
