- barry| 1 replyI received a card and they answered several questions and helped me determine how to get help with my company. I too have done my research and they are indeed legitimate.
- Caller: qualification department
- No Name replies to notrust| 2 repliesYes the relief council is indeed legitimate. They assisted me in determining what programs I qualify for, then were able to connect me with a real estate attorney.
I received a permanent modification in 2 weeks!! Without the relief councils help and advice I would not be in my home today. I honestly feel like I have a new lease on life. This organization is ABSOLUTELY LEGITIMATE.
My sister was also having difficulty and I had her call, they determined that she did qualify and told her exactly what she needed to do, and advised her to continue on the process with her lender. In 3 weeks she received a modification and completely due to this company advice.
So again i am taking the time to write this to re assure anyone who could have doubts. The relief council never charged me a dime. They connected me with an attorney who helped me, and then told my sister to continue to work with her lender. You CAN TRUST them. - Kim replies to Derek| 3 repliesYour company charges money upfront and try $5500. Also, if you are that good and can resolve the problems so quickly then why not let the people pay only after you help them! Shouldn't take money unless you can help the person. What are the attorney's names? They said that they had called my lender and worked out a deal with them but they never called them. Only after I sign and give the retainer fee then you look into it and see if you can do something, There are California Civil Codes that say you are not to take money upfront. Anyway, it's hard to pay someone when you are not completely approved and the bank agrees. The bank doesn't have to agree and would rather foreclose and get what ever cash they can get.
- Kim replies to stevePlease give me the name of the company that referred you to the Operation Hope.
I called them to and they sent me to a councelor that told me that because my husband works the bank can't lower our principle even though we may be entitled to this program. Wendy said they are only helping the unemployed right now. Also, they can't help us because we are at a loss budget wise.
Thank you - Rob replies to homeowner| 1 replyshill alert.
- Rob replies to No Name| 1 replyShill alert.
- Kim replies to Kim| 1 replyAlso,
People can't pay because of the situation they are in! They need the money to live on.
What if you can't help? Then people are out of money and on the street? - Rob replies to Derek| 1 replyWhich is why in big letters you put HUD, and in little ones qualify that you aren't a government agency.
SHILL ALERT. - Rob replies to barryShill alert.
- rileywe too almost got suckered in thinking it was HUD. Lesson learned to read all the fine print. Tried to google the company, nothing came up. was told by the intake person that he could forward me all the info I needed about the co. they are't on the web because they are so good the are by referral only. HA HA! I was also told that we would have to pay 3000.000. The intake person did not like that we decided not to "buy a pig in a poke" and he was rude after we said no. go figure.
- maggiedealsMy girlfriend who is disabled is being sucked in by this company. How can she get legit help and back these people off???

In my honest opinion, there's a lot of mixed reviews in regards to how the postcard looks like and yada yada. Know what I see? I see a bunch of names of people who's homes have been successfully lowered of their rent payment, which means they can probably pay and keep their homes. The most important part is that this business exists for a reason and it's to save homes. They do a great job doing it too.
There's many reasons why people may not be happy from which I seen with my own eyes. One main reason I see is.. "Rent payment drastically reduced but still unable to pay the monthly payment with their current income." It's a sad market and a sad thing to see. My parents lost their homes during foreclosure in 2008 and what these people do are simply something I wish to have known then but oh well lol
Just my honest opinion as a good citizen. Take care everyone! - Caller rh replies to DanielThe 800 number lacks a formal greeting and the so called customer service reps are rude and interrupting. Did not get a good feeling. The website they gave me is different than the company name. I am just not comfortable. Not to mention how defensive they are in the responses above and on the phone. I should not have to ask you the name of your company and you shouldnt have to explain why you are a leg
it one.
