Computer generated message, it's an IRS related scam.  Similar reports found on other websites.

"...we found that there was a fraud and misconduct on your US tax audit which you are hiding. You need to correct this by calling us..." stern roboman. Reported to donotcall.gov

Tax scam call. Person stated that he was with the IRS Criminal Investigations Dept. issued me a case and warrant number for my arrest. When I told him, “that’s strange that the IRS would be looking for me, when I am an employee”, he disconnected the call immediately. I reported the number and name of the caller Jerry Hunt to the IRS.

Just wanted to clarify that I do not work for the IRS. Stated that only to see if the call was a scam.

Same here and when I told him I couldn't understand a word he was saying, he disconnected.

Was robocall said to call back at 1877-709-8412 when I did the man wanted my name and  SS number I told him my name but not my social number he said he couldn't give me any info without it and I said  he should already have all that but if not it was ok have a great day bye and I hung up.I have not received mail from SSA so I assumed it was a scam as I believe they send out a letter first before they call. altho  I could be mistaken hope I didn't hang up on my SSA office that would be terrible.

Same here but was blocked by the Mr Number APP on my phone but a cutoff message was left on my voice mail.  The first report of SPAM was Sept 4, today is Sept. 25!  Why hasn't anyone shut this number down by now? What does it take to stop this annoyance?

This is a phishing scam. Please also report to the FCC. If you have also received a scam phone call from (323)318-1422 and (213)493-8290 please report those numbers in the same report. This is a ring operating out of California. Also file a report at your local police precinct - especially if you live in Los Angeles County and send a copy to both the Coty Attirney’s office and FBI field office.

Geez, I wonder if maybe they are in India and actually just spoofed the numbers?

Tax Scam

 I just got the same robocall scam message claiming to be the IRS.

Got a call to, told him that it was strange IRS calling me from Canada, it's a Canada area code, and told him furthermore, I need to tell you you are not scamming me, I will turn this number in to IRS, he hung up fast, and now number he left for me to call back so he could scam me is saying it's a non working number, idiots trying to reap people of, hope he gets caught !!

I didn't recognize the number so didn't answer.  They left a VM that I only got part of - "call or you are in trouble" type of call.  Blocked number.
