Received a call from an unavailable number but a lady named Amber stating she was an independent processor left a message with my info including name, assigned case # and  last digits of SSN.  Said they were with NCA & associates and were going to file a case for wage garnishment if I don't respond and they would serve me at home or my place of employment. Called the number and received a generic voicemail with no company name and stating that all mediators were busy or it was after business hours.   I don't owe anyone...sounds like a scam.  Has this happened to anyone else?

Definitely a scam.  They will not and cannot do anything to you but try to steal your information.  Don't worry about them.  I would  report it if they call you again.  I don't answer phone calls from numbers I don't know,  but got the same message and don't owe anything either.  Good luck!

Just received the same vm from a "John Wakefield".    This is a scam for sure.   As both of you stated, I do not owe anyone anything.

Who/where do I report them to?
