- Breaponsible replies to UpsetThe US department of of education will only send you a letter regarding your federally guaranteed loans, you may have private loans with Navient like I do, in that case Asset Recovery Solutions is one of the many agencies hire to collect their private student loans. Research for yourself.

- Erin PhalanCalled my work and before saying anything, the man stated,”This call will be recorded.” He said it very low and fast like he didn’t want us to hear it. Then he asked my employee if I was available. I was not in, so my employee asked to take a message and he hung up. Very unprofessional!!

- Dude in TX| 1 replySomeone identifying themselves as "John Dekelaita" has been calling my employer stating that it's a personal matter and requesting a call back on the extension "x445".
Were this a legitimate attempt to collect debt, I'd expect them to try calling my personal number, like has happened in the past when I've forgotten to pay a bill. This reeks of some kind of scam, as even if the call is from "Asset Recovery Solutions LLC" as reported previously, the numbers don't match their published contact information, and nothing they've been able to provide lends any legitimacy to the call.
I'd recommend simply blocking them if possible after taking some of the steps noted in BigA's response previously.- Caller: John Dekelaita
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- BigA replies to Dude in TXDebt collectors have lots of numbers. The "known, published" phone numbers are simply to the office which is usually separate from the collection area. If you follow those steps there would be no reason to block them. By the way, talking to your employer is an FDCPA violation and you could easily sue them and make them pay you instead.
