My experience was the same as the above commenters - however, I'm not Canadian and the deadline is looming for open healthcare enrollment. I went to the official US website to see if this was allowed and couldn't find my answer. Glad I checked here before calling this scam artist back.

Just got this call as well. Jason saying "I've actually been assigned to you," and the fact that the message sounds like a personal call due to how Jason stumbles through his spiel made this more convincing than a typical scam call.

Call came in with call ID of 000-000-0000, but he left the 877 number in the voicemail.

I'm a little disappointed Jason (no last name) didn't identify me by name since he's so excited to get me great health insurance. He also uses the word "um" a lot. He needs to practice his scam transcript.

Same as others.  Jason has actually been assigned to me.  I'm glad I didn't answer the phone because I do have an actual appointment with an Open Enrollment Navigator on wednesday, and I would have thought it was about that.

Same as reported above by others, word for word. It was "Jason" , who was "assigned" to me. No last name, no company named. I recognized it as a scam. If something can be done to shut down this scam, go for it.

A guy named Jason leaving a voicemail on my cell. Something about being my open enrollment specialist for health insurance. I have no idea what that is. I'm guessing he's targetting Americans and I live in Canada so I don't think we have those here.

Hey Tony, are you saying this guy is potentially a legal insurance agent? That's almost scarier than him being a scammer.

Jason just called me as well.  Same 1-339-333-7511 number, different call back number.

    KXAZ News - PAGE, AZ
Tuesday morning, one of our employees received a cold call from an anonymous, unknown contact who left a voicemail identifying himself as “Jason, a health enrollment specialist” claiming he was calling to help them “enroll in a health care plan that matched their budget during the open enrollment period”. The caller left a number to return his call, and when the individual attempted to call him back they heard an outgoing message claiming they were a “health insurance registration center”.

Using the number that was left in the voice mail message, this thread was discovered online indicating several others had received the same call recently and believed it was a scam artist attempting to secure private personal information and credit card information by pretending to be an enrollment agent. Not once did the caller say they had anything to do with healthcare.gov and those agents do not make cold calls to sell insurance.

We have shared the actual voicemail on the radio and on our website in an attempt to alert everyone of this scam. We urge you to spread the word about this scam as well.

Same as Tyler; called from 339-333-7511, went direct to voicemail after one ring, said he was Jason, my insurance open enrollment rep, and to call back at 877-721-9515.
I called back to get info, Jason “tied up with another customer” and when asked to give info on where they got my number, hung up on me.

My call came from a private number. Same Jason, same phony spiel, same call-back number,  didn't identify who he worked for. Going to share on Facebook.

Same as the others. Called my cell. Said his name was Jason and was assigned to me for open enrollment. My husband just passed on 11-17-'18 and I just called SSI about benefits for myself and our minor daughter. Glad I did my research before moving forward. I hope they catch and throw the book at this guy.
