- Gwen Basinger| 2 repliesI told them that I have never ordered anything from Amazon and the woman wanted me to give her my last 4 digits of my credit cards .I told her that I couldn't do that. Supposedly someone ordered a Nikon camera. I have never ordered a camera in my life. She hung up on me.

- Diane replies to Gwen BasingerSame here ... I didn't call the number however ... I looked up the telephone number and knew it was a SCAM!
- aksamjrSame crap. Now a problem comes up is when you answer these phone numbers, because they know now this is a live number calling back. I talked to Amazon and Comcast and they both said if you have any problem like you bought something(Amazon or any other Target, Costco etc etc) or ordered something, Amazon Prime or Comcast,or Comcast security or whatever contact the company direct and they will handle the whole situation. If they have a heavy accent that's first sign.
- ANNAnother SCAM. Got an email a few minutes ago with Name "AMAZON" and Amazons emblem stating I had purchased a Nikon camera for 3199.00 and 159.95 tax. First, the amount of tax is incorrect Email asked me to call 1-877-730-0400. No way would I make that call, then they would have my phone number. I've heard can report to ; To report a phone call or text message visit ftc.gov/complaint and follow the onscreen assistant AND stop-spoofing@amazon.com. Will do a HAPPY Dance when the day comes these creeps will be stopped and prosecuted.

- MGD replies to Gwen BasingerIt's a complete scam. I get a fake email from Amazon about every 4 days or so. I've been keeping track of the scams just to amuse myself during the pandemic. I always forward them to the company's security email and to the federal site for reporting scams. Doesn't seem to help. Always look for typos and stupid grammar. These folks are not native speakers so they say things like "kindly write us back if you have any concern." Don't bother calling the number they provide as was noted in a comment below.
