I also received a call from the 877 number 877763 5382 requesting $400 from judgment that against me. I requested their physical address I also requested an area code from Los Angeles with a regular phone number I also requested a website address and all my answers were no a red flag went off. I'm sure it's a scam but I don't know who to contact regarding this information

I needed to call , with my work and home address to be presented with claim against me. This was on my voice mail. Never said who filed the claim , just the name Michael Powers

I received a call also this afternoon from phone number 877-763-5382 asking for my address and work address;  I believe this is a scam.

I received a call that came in on caller ID as 4024144405 with a return number of 8777635382.  I was called both at work and home with a message left indicating "This message is intended for ..... or claim number ........ This is Tiffany Miller contacting regarding an order that was admitted to my office this morning. I need to verify an address to present you with your formal claim at your residence and place of employment. Ms. .... you have a claim that's been brought against you at this point you have one opportunity to contact the firm handling the claim to discuss this matter. They can be reached at 8777635382. Your claim number listed on the order is ........
....you've officially been notified."  They did not indicated company and left this message on a work phone number.  I too believe it to be a scam as I have fallen prey to this before.  I do not think I will even respond as that verifies to them that they have reached someone.  Has anyone actually been served with anything from these calls?

Got one from a Mr Davis. Scam I've been dealing with this for years.

Called using a local area code for where I live, said needed to call the 877-763-5382 to verify my address to serve papers. Hello if you are calling me & are for real with real papers then you should have my address. Sorry not calling back & have blocked all numbers...

Left voicemail on my work phone number I am not permitted to receive calls. I am considering filing a law suit against them

caller id shows a local number 609 area code with Barnegat exchange asking to call 877 number

I received a call from Justin Slater from a Bagdad, Ky landline. Bagdad is way out in the country, in Franklin County, and has a population of about 30 (if that many).  This is DEFINATELY a scam.  I had looked up the number and the next time he called I told him I was in Bagdad and that I would meet him right then to pay what I owed. (of course I did not owe anything). He never made a sound except for the "click" of the phone hanging up.  I'd LOVE to catch one of these scammers!

I to received a call from Justin slayter saying I need to call the firm (no name of the firm) and he gave a claim # and phone 8777635382 so I call they want give address or supervisor name or who the represent then said they had caller Id & knew who I was and they had a claim against me I just hung up if I owe something then they no who I am show me proof of what I owe then I will talk to them scam scam

I have received calls coming in on what appears to be a local number 4024144405 with a return number of 8777635382.  The calls are from Midwest with the following message "XXXXXX I'm calling again to inform you that you had the opportunity to contact the firm handling your claim. Ma'am at this point I have verified an address to present you with your formal documents. There is a claim against you. You have until I reach you personally to address this matter with the firm. Again they can be reached at 8777635382. Your claim number listed on the order is XXXXXXX. This is your final notification."  Today I received another call at work this time with a return number of 8668511482.  Incoming number was listed as unknown. The message left referenced the same claim number as the calls I received 2 months ago.  I'm assuming this is a scam that is now using a new number.  Has anyone else received a call from the new number?

Hi Sue. Yes, I have received a call from the unknown number just today for the first time. I've been trying to figure out if this company is for real or not. I've pulled up my credit report and the only matters on there are not with a company called Midwest and they are TINY ones so I don't know what's going on. As mad as it makes me you can't help but have a part of you worry because nobody wants any type of trouble!

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:

* Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money.   ["Written" means snailmailed ... not emailed or texted]

I got a call from 502-496-0669 bagdad KY. Similar to story above with 877-763-5382. Woman said she needed my address for lawsuit. I told her I wasn't interested. She replied that I didn't have a choice. I told her I resided at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC. The White House. She got mad and hung up. When you call the 502-496-0669 number, you get a recording of an aggressive-sounding black man saying "THIS IS THE INVESTIGATING DEPARTMENT! PLEASE HANG UP NOW!"

I got this same call, same exact message from Tiffany Miller, no company name, just stated I need to call back with the claim number, it was verbatim the same exact message you got, except that the call back # they left was 844-233-6822, and I got the call on my cell phone and my home number within minutes of each other.  Does anyone know if this is really a scam?

This happened to me today with the exact same message!

They have now moved to another number. 877-279-0053. The exact same message was left on my cell and work number.
