Computer blocked while answering Gmail.  Message said to call 1 877 765 3097. Sounds like ransom ware.

message on screen of my computer. Said everything is compromised, to call this number, etc.  I signed out, restarted computer and everything seems OK.

Computer was blocked. Screen said my computer had been compromised including email, credit card,etc. Had this number to call.
877-765-3097. I called the number. Guy sounded like he was in India. I hung up. My phone then rang once with a hang up. I restarted my computer. Seems ok. Trying to report to Mcfee.

Same happened to me called Microsoft..,,,said it was a scam
 This is not Microsoft...my computer is fine and Norton scan was ok

10/19/16 Happened to me - Computer was blocked - I called the number.  Am concerned that I allowed him remote viewing to my computer.  I became suspicious when he tried to hard to sell me Microsoft's Security Package, and then started making no sense.  I still don't know how much I've compromised my laptop by allowing him to see it.  TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER AND IGNORE THAT MESSAGE.

Call 877-765-3097 get their help. If you don't call, they will shutdown the computer before it infects their whole network. Shutting off my computer before calling them will result in the end of the world basically. Microsoft store page in background....I called the number, asked who he was and who he worked for, his response was something like I needed to tell him who I wanted to talk to...could barely understand his English.

My computer had an alert message pop up and say call 1-877-765-3097 or my computer would me shut down so the whole Miocrosoft Network would not get infectd.   I shut down the computer and restarted, now ever 10 minutes it happens again.
