Got a few phone calls from this number, when rang back got a voicemail - that thay were calling on behalf of RBC

i do get alot of calls from that number,when i caled them back they are always closed or their fone network down.its some sort of collection agency using RBC bank name coz thats what it says when u call their shity number.

1-877-766-1795 for the past three weeks this number has been calling my phone twice daily "on behalf of RBC". There is never anyone there. Today is Saturday and they called. When I called back their business hours were Monday to Friday!!??

So I googled Vox Data Solutions (a call center based out of Toronto and Montreal) and found this number:
1-800-861-9599
Called this number, gave the first girl a blast of [***]. She, of course transferred me to her supervisor, who apparently added me to a no-call list and assured me I would not get another call.
So not sure if its true or not yet, but if you are pissed off and trying to find a way to stop the calls, lets bombard them with irate calls to this 1-800 number the way they are doing to us.

They call me about once a day as well, no voicemail.

I have been getting calls on my Cel phone which is even more frustrating than my home phone... Thank you Amanda for the 800 number I also called but I guess they are getting used to it as the girl I talked to Apologized not onced but twice...and said she will take my number off the list.  Time will tell.....

same thing 2 to 3 calls a day on my cell phone...no voicemail left...thank you Amanda for the info...called them and had my number removed.

I just got a call from this 877 number as well and when I called it back, they didn't say who they were on the message I got directed to.  I called the 800 number listed above and was also removed from their list.  Thanks for posting that.

I'm a little nervous though because the woman at the 800 number asked me for my phone number in order to take me off their list.  I gave it to them but have been a victim of identity theft in the past and it made me uncomfortable to do so.  Has anyone had any reprocusions for giving out their number to them?  I'm probably just paranoid.

This is an automatic dialer service that RBC uses.

When I answered I ended up speaking with someone with RBC that was doing a customer service followup to see how things are going with the my bank services.  The reason I know it was really RBC is because they set up an appointment for me with my guy at the branch that I went to so it is legit.

That being said, no one should ever ask you to provide them with any of your numbers (account, Social Insurance Number, credit cards, etc.)  They may confirm your address but they will tell you what they have and ask you to confirm it not the other way around.  Anyone asking you to provide them with info and then they'll confirm it may be a phishing scam.

I don't know if they use this for collection purposes, I don't see why they wouldn't.  I don't have any credit cards or loans or anything that I would owe them money for so they really were just doing customer satisfaction followup with me.  Most people these days don't want anyone calling them for any reason, since we've all been bombarded by telemarketing so much.  However, since I work night shift and don't ever get out during the day to run errands I was looking to ask the bank some questions anyway so for me it was a positive.

If you don't want to speak to them just tell them everything's great and get rid of them.  I think it's part of their customer service mandate to do these followups so until they get some sort of answer from you they're going to keep phoning.

I have been getting calls from this number 877-766-1795 at the rate of almost twice a day for the last couple of months.  When I answer there is no-one on the other end.  I have never been given a chance to say anything other than answer the phone...  When I do miss the call no message is left.  It is becoming extremely annoying, as the number they are calling is my work number (which is forwarded to my work cell) and I have had other calls interrupted.  The most frustrating part is that when I do answer there is no-one there who I can talk to and ask them to STOP.

Thanks to Amanda for the 800-861-9599 number.  I just called and spoke with a "Penny" at Vox Data Solutions who has advised me that she will take my phone number off her list.  She did note it could take up to 48 hours for this to go through, but by next week I will receive no more calls, HOORAY!!!

I've been getting these calls a lot but when I pick up, someone disconnects. The messages they leave are exactly like the ones posted above, about being Vox Data on behalf on RBC. I was worried so I googled the number and found this post. I tried calling it back and it says they are closed, 5 minutes after they called! SO I called the 1-800 number Amanda posted and told the agent my story and he asked if I have an RBC credit card and I said no. He said he didn't know why they are calling me bc Vox Data is an inbound and outbound call centre and offered his supervisor to me. He was very nice and so was the supervisor. I told the supervisor the story abt the calls and he said there is a Toronto office and montreal office and he can get administration to find out why I was contacted. He asked for my name and number to search me and see why the RBC campaign is calling. I gave him my name and number and gave him permission to have a live person call me and leave a message as to the reason I am being contacted. I will post again tomorrow after I find out. He promised no solitation calls and no sharing of my number and that people only get contacted when they need to be, so he didn't know why I was called. He said I should find out tomorrow, the admin team can track why I was called. Will let you all know tomorrow.

Just got a call today and answered. They are calling on behalf of RBC because I am a valued customer and they want to give me additional hospital coverage. LOL
They were easy to get off the phone though!

You people need to relax.  It's just a phone call and it's just a survey.  If you don't want to do it just answer the phone and tell them so.  Politely.  Then they'll stop calling you and you'll both be happy because they won't be wasting their time or yours anymore.

This number has been calling me and it is getting ridiculous. When it was called back, the message said that their office hours were only from 17:00-19:00 Monday to Friday, then the line was terminated. Just happened to do a reverse search on it, then this appeared. Called the 800 number, got told my number would be taken off immediately. Calling the 877 number just gets you a message telling you to call back later. Just call the 800 number, get yourself taken off the list, then if it continues, call it again.

Proper telephone etiquette is for the caller to identify themselves and then state their business.  Do not ask me any questions until I know who you are and what/who you represent.  Failure to identify yourself when you call my home will result in my delivering nonsense upon you.  You will get no information from me and then I will hang-up.

However, identify yourself, state your business and I will at the very least listen to what you have to say.  I still might not give you any information, but you will know that you have made contact with the person you are seeking.

What is VOX Data?

Except that (a) it's a phone call to your cell phone which basically you should not have any business calling you unless you gave them permission to. (b) most people here are stating that when they answer there is no one there or it disconnects, and when they call back they can't get anyone. (c) any unsolicited calls that occur from the same phone number every single day or more then once a day are annoying and frustrating.
