- Anonymous| 2 repliesBe Careful. Someone is calling small businesses with this number saying that they are from the federal compliance law department and that the business is not in compliance because they do not have the required federal posters posted on the wall so they need to pay $149 immediately to get all your credit card info. Please be careful when speaking to anyone on the phone. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION ESPECIALLY BANK ACCOUNT, CREDIT CARD & SOCIAL SECURITY #.

- maxima e replies to AnonymousThanks for the info. It really makes you call back because of the message they left.
- honkieishere| 4 repliesThis is a legit business the comments above are completely false! Unless you work for us you don't know what your talking about! We don't ask for a social security number and these are legit and these are required for every business owner by law!
- Resident47 replies to honkieishereHow many times do you think we need to see the same shill rebuttal? If you're so worried about compliance with rules, you might get a look at this site's Terms of Service. This summer we've already seen a rash of disruption from Poster Compliance bullies like you trying to frighten the underinformed and justify your fraudulent business model. No more will be tolerated.
What took you so long to notice the *one* comment of protest here, anyway? Got a sag in your sales you need lifted? - Resident47The US Department of Labor provides its various required workplace posters *FOR FREE* via PDF download or by ordering printed copies directly from the DoL. State labor departments also typically provide their mandatory posters for free via download and from a state agency.
Nothing I've seen prevents a third party from gathering copies of the same posters for free and then selling them to you laminated, sheathed, or what have you. But you should not allow any fearmongering "compliance service" to price-gouge the job, collect on fraudulent invoices, or convince you that you're too stupid as a business owner to follow simple agency directions or keep pace with ultimately infrequent regulatory changes.
Now a word from the real OSHA ...
Acquiring 'Free' OSHA Publications and Posters [excerpt]
https://www.osha.gov/Publications/workplace_poster_page.html
We continue to learn of complaints from employers who have received "official looking" announcements and -- in some cases -- threatening notices, messages, or telephone calls from various companies requiring that employers purchase OSHA documents from them in order to remain in compliance with OSHA rules and regulations. ..... It's important that all employers do not become victim of misleading solicitation practices or incur unnecessary costs where these resources are concerned.
OSHA's publications and posters are available free to anyone who asks simply by visiting the publications page on the agency's Web site at http://www.osha.gov/pls/publications/publication.html. The publications, posters, fact sheets, etc., can be ordered through the publications office or, in most cases, downloaded directly from the Web site. - Yes... replies to honkieishere....those posters are required for businesses to be in compliance, except that the Dept of Labor provides all of those posters free of charge - businesses can print them from the site, or they can order them directly from the DoL. Businesses don't need some bullying "company" calling them and trying to scare them into buying posters at an over inflated price! Too bad for you that the original poster does know what they're talking about and didn't order from you!
- Pauline| 1 replyReceived a call from someone claiming to be from the "federal compliance office" and that their records showed that I didn't have the required posters and would receive huge fines unless I got them ASAP. For only$189 they would send them to me along with "registering" and providing 12 months of free "updates". Aggressive and fear based sales tactics and impersonation of being from a government agency. You can download all forms you need from the DOL and their is NO registration needed.

- ShannonI got two calls yesterday. Unfortunately my husband gave them some information. They never charged anything, but we will be changing the CC #.
They sounded pushy and rude. I am not paying for something for free. Also reported it to the BBB. It seems they look up new businesses and prey on them by saying they are out of compliance and only they have what we need.- Caller: Federal Compliance Office

- Anonymous replies to AnonymousOur office just received a call from that number. It was a women named Dianne calling from the Federal Compliance, sounded a bit shady on the telephone and requested to speak with the business owner regarding a law poster. I've never heard of a law poster? Anywho, I advised her I will take the message and pass it on.
- Pit bullHi
Same here, but the number 817-506-4672 called me & told me to call 877-766-9088 to make sure I'm in compliance & also told me I wasn't. I told him I spoke to labor department & I know I am in compliance (true) & he kept saying that depending on the state, that info may not be true etc (?). When he could see I wouldn't be BSed he kept saying call 877-766-9088 & he backed down his attitude figuring he'd send me along to another seasoned con artist, so sad they seek out innocent people who just want to do the right thing, get a legit job. I do also see the 877 calling in to my small business, which just opened, but I don't pick it up. - TriciaAfter reading all the posts, I was prepared to call back. They told me that Federal records show that I was not in compliance and they wanted to send me a packet for $189.00. I told her I got them for Free at DOL. Not to mention, my company is just me. I do not have any employees, so I don't even need the posters. She backed down and said they will follow up with me at a later date. Don't give them any info. Scam
