Last night and today Sovereign bank (3rd party telemarketer) called me again!
I answered the cell phone and told them to stop harassing me and insisted they take me off the list.
I also added my phone# on the Do Not Call List on line.
That will take 30 days.
The 3rd party is using the same phone number that is associated with Sovereign bank.
So...WHY CAN'T THEY FRIGGIN TELL THE [***] TO STOP CALLING ME AS THEY ARE PROBABLY IN THE SAME BUILDING!

I never had an account with Sovereign bank and NEVER WILL NOW!

I received a calls from this number numerous times a day for over a week (it is July 15, 2010). I never answered.

Same deal they have called me for three straight days now at the exact same time

called my cell and did not leave a message

Called once, no message left.  My husband and I have joint checking and savings with Sovereign, but I have never given them my cell number, so I assume they got it through a 3rd party.

Just got a phone call from 877-768-4721, no message. Sovereign customer, but I never gave them my cell phone.

I got a call on my cell phone last night and called them back today.  They are calling everyone with an account asking if you would like to follow the new federal regulations.  They need you to say "no" so that they are able to charge you a ridiculous over the limit fee if you go over with your debit card by accident.  Can't blame them though, they are losing a lot of revenue with this fee going away.  We can all thank Obama for the loss of our free checking accounts.  They will all be gone by next year unless you leave a large amount of cash in your account.  Business will always find away around government regulations; however, I agree with all of you that these calls are very annoying.  Especially when the send us several snail mails and several message on our online accounts asking us to allow them to charge us an over-the-limit fee.

Sovereign Bank repeatedly keeps calling my cell phone selling their Sovereign Account Protector.  Don't these idiots understand "No, not interested"?  If the idiots call me one more time, I'll close my accounts there.  I'm tired of their pushy ads when in on line banking, Spam email and unwanted persistent phone calls.  They could better serve their customers by reopening some of the closed branches instead of aggravating their customers!!!!!  Last email says that there is a $15/month fee for account inactivity.  My accounts are active but it certainly is time to start using my Credit Union and dumping Sovereign!!!!!

call every day fr a month now. I don't even pick up anymore. contact the attorny general office. this bank is out of control.

Usually call every week, a couple of times. They don't leave any messages.

Called me three days straight in August, then once a week and a half later.  Of course, I was away and without cell-phone service for that week and a half-- I can only imagine they were calling me daily that entire time too.  I already have an account w/ Sovereign and told them online that I don't want their Account Protector.  This did not stop them calling from another number.

a friendly young gent on the line called to remind me my card was about to expire and that i should update any auto-pay systems my card might be registered to. thanks for the tip, sovbank !!

If it wasn't some sort of scam - why wouldn't they just leave a voicemail?

Stop phoning me--   What an annoyance!   Why are they being allowed to continue?
