- Chuck| 1 replyThey keep calling the elected official of our government agency saying that they can only speak to them and in turn I being in the I.T. dept keep getting questioned why these people keep calling. When I call back to try and resolve why they keep calling from Laserworks they put me through to voice mail and never return my call. My warning to anyone is not to do business with this company because it seems a little shady. This is my personal opinion so take the warning at that

- Chuck| 4 repliesThe company is Laserworks and they say they have a laser cartridge order pending and they need more info so they can send out your order. It's nothing but a sham to trick you into buying thier crap.
- Dave replies to ChuckI just got a call from that same company name, but when I googled it it came back with a legit company. I called the real LaserWorks and they gave me this 877-768-6637. When I called them, ALL their managers where out of town (how convienant!). I turned this over to the Kentucky Dept of Consumer Affairs and they have now started a formal investigation. I hope every P.O.S. that works for them gets fined or sentanced to the maximum (90 days, but Federal Pen).
- valI agree this company keeps calling and then telling me that their supervisor Bill Neal told him to call me. I google them and called back and ask to speak to Mr. Neal, who works in the warehouse, with no phone. I was then transfered to his supervisor who was not in but wanted me to leave my name and number! Dahhhhhhhhhhha why would I do that. I have notifed everyone not to give out any info.

- Joe"Laserworks" duped some one in our orginization into buying 2 toner cartridges from thier "greatly overstocked" supply. The cost was $397. each plus a shipping charge. When I called "laserworks" for an explanation I heard what sounded like house noises. I believe these people work from out of thier home and thier supplier is Walmart or Office Max

- SnoockeredWe were also quoted $397 as mentioned above. Interesting how this exact number is used over and over for all brands. Employee thought it was for the whole order. Invoice arrived way after the shipment and was for $397 FOR EACH CARTRIDGE. So the 25% restocking charge is more than the street price for similiar cartridges.

- Jenny G. replies to Chuck| 3 repliesI was scammed by this company back in February. Same story everyone else is telling. I am a librarian at a school and was threatened legally by this company. I tried to get help from the Missouri Attorney General's Office, to no avail. I guess Missouri is the state to set up a scamming business. I'm quite upset. I'm not finished though. I'm hoping my tenacity will help put this business in the doghouse. I don't plan to stop until I find someone who will listen. I plan on going to Lisa Madigan at the Illinois Attorney General's Office next. Please, everyone who has been scammed, get together and file a class action suit. Put them out of business so us little guys won't have to go through this anymore. I was out my own money and job because of them.
- Jenny G. replies to Jenny G.Oh by the way, we received 12 toner cartridges for a cost of $4,000!!!!! We could buy a new printer every week for that price. Why are they still getting away this crap? BBB and Mo. Att. Gen. Office: do something about this!!!!!
- FinanceGuy replies to Jenny G.| 1 replyJenny - This scam targets small government. The company has no business license in Springfield though they have been incorporated since 1999 - They operate with the same personnel of MTEK (Microtek Solutions). The same people were involved in another scam company - CompuStar. Better Business Bureau has recorded numerous complaimnts. The scam is to sell remanufacted noname carts for at a huge markup then charge 25% restocking fee when the product is returned. The same product is sold by MTek on their website for a fraction of the price. The legal threats are empty. The Attorney General does nothing though they were informed about this years ago.
- compustar replies to FinanceGuyMtek was simply a vendor of Compustar but they are not the same company and have not been a vendor for quite awhile.
- dougI'm a television reporter working on a story about this today. If you'd like to talk about your trouble, give me an email: dmagditch@kspr.com
