locked up my computer and said click on OK and call this number for assistance, indicated it was microsoft, I did none of that and powered  my computer off and got my computer back

scam pretending to be Microsoft.

Same thing happened to me. I powered off and restarted my computer (thank you for your tip!) and my computer is working fine.

Received screen message that Microsoft detected Zeus virus. Porn appeared on the computer. Advising to call 877-768-9358. Thank you for the tip to turn off the Computer

Thank you for the advise to turn the computer off. I didn't call the number, suspicious that Microsoft detected the Zeus Virus

Same thing happened today. Did the shutdown and restart. Seems okay but also ran a scan.

I just got the message, too. That Microsoft detected the Zeus virus on my computer, don't shut it down, and there were porn photos across the top. Clicking on OK did nothing, and when I called the number the line was busy. I did a CRL-ALT-Delete and got the hell out of there. Right now, I'm running a virus scan to see if it picks up anything.

Trying to extract banking and social security info. Laughed at me when I said I was going to report their number to the authorities
