- KS Addam| 1 replysays they are Microsoft, but Microsoft doesn't call you and leave number to return call, this froze up my computer completely, wanted me to call this number for help, that they can walk me through to get them into my system and they will clear the system of a Trojan. I couldn't turn off the computer so I unplugged it to get rid of this.
- Anyone replies to KS AddamNext time force close your browser through task manager and restart. Do not restore session or tabs. It's not a virus at all, just JavaScript. Consider installing script and ad blockers if this keeps happening.
- MobyWindowserror39.com. Same as KS Addam. Unplugged system and it went away.

- El asustadoFriends if when you are at your computer, you will see a Microsoft page and a warning saying there is an error with a number and then telling you to call this phone at (877) 768-9361, I advise you not to call, because I Worried about the message that said that if I closed the computer or something like that, I would block the computer of only one, call the number and I came out a male person practically a gentleman speaking English but with a foreign accent, he began to exhort me to say the Word "yes", and as previously I saw a news that thieves now steal like that and leave them in the street to one, then they gave a somewhat awkward conversation, first said nobody spoke in Spanish, then told me if I was I agreed to go to technical support, as I did not say the word he wanted to hear, then he told me that I was going to spend with someone in Spanish, so I told him that I would call the police to report the incident and then he left me waiting and hung The call, the best they can do is not to call, now I'm thinking if they steal the little money I have in the bank, so do not make the call, if you want to report it but do not call.

- ptaoI got hit today on Chrome with a blocker/hijacker that froze the browser..uninstalled, redownloaded, did it again. had to stop browser with system services one tab at a time, uninstall again, running full scans. Now I read above that it is javascript. that's encouraging. Anyway, beware of this: windowsalerts77.com and it is using the above ph number. I did not call them...as I mentioned, I backed out and retreaded carefully. So far so good.
- MaryPop up message while doing a randon Google search with alert and error code(which I looked up and there is no such code) saying that It was because my conputer had a virus or spyware. They try to look like Microsoft but just want you to give them access to your computer so they can steal your information. My browser was frozen, but I just ended the task (control+alt+delete, choose Task Manager).
- KurtI have received this type of junk ad before. You can't hit the X in the right corner to get out of it. The X will activate it. The best way to get out is to hit Control+Alt+Delete. Go to the task manager. Choose your browser and exit out of it. Restart your browser. When it asks to return to the previous session, say no. These guys are trying to steal your money by locking up your computer.

- ChloeComputer Scam: For 2nd time this week, while on Chrome and a website, got frozen screen and a message from "Microsoft" that a virus or spyware detected that would wipe out a number of items and access and to call this number to speak with a tech to remove problem. Seemed like a scam to me. To get rid of it, went to Start menu and simply shut down. Re started with no problem.
- Batmanuuel| 1 replyA brother of mine also received this call. Unfortunately, he made the call and followed through their instructions. He recalls typing something on the Chrome Address bar, something like, www.expore???fast.com and as soon as he did, it downloaded something to which he was asked to click "Run",which he did. The program installed and opened up. He then typed in a number he was given and a second later, they had access to his machine. He recalls seeing the cursor moved which freaked him out and clicked a button that read "Stop...". The guy on the phone told him "Hey sir you blocked me. I cannot give you support like this." My brother than hang the call and dialed me.
Questions: Do any of you know what program could my brother have installed on his machine to uninstall it?- Caller: 877-768-9361
- DanDMy wife called this number after pc screen froze up. Pop up from phony microsoft ad requiring call to fix the problem. My wife made the call without my knowledge and then handed the phone to me after she couldn't figure out what the accented tech was trying to say. I immediately sensed "scam", with the info my wife provided, the person was able to display my bank accts and credit accts and passwords. Claiming that my accounts have been hacked along with all my personal info. They claimed they could fix this for $499. Still sensing scam I told the Pakistani i would call him back. Of course he didn't want his sucker off the line, then claimed someone would steal all my money if they didn't fix this. I hung up but still had concerns that he has all my account info. I will be keeping close tabs on my accts. So far so good.
- MCKeppelI've been getting this for awhile now, if you install adblocker it will stop them. Sometimes I pause adblocker to watch a video on a gaming site to earn tokens and it sneeks in. As long as I run adblocker it stops them. Good Luck
- Caller: Microsoft?
- Pat replies to Batmanuuelprobably just a remote desktop tool. scammer would have then opened up event viewer to show your brother "all the malware" on the machine. then they'd try to get a credit card number to "clean the pc".
- REDWas in my email, when my screen froze. It stated Call Microsoft for Tech. support at the number listed, now. tried to turn off my computer. It wouldn't turn off, so i unplugged the power cord. Third or fourth time the last week and a half
