Supposed Sweepstakes Win

Sweepstakes scam about a car.

How did you know it was a scam? I got a call today and since I did fill out a sweepstakes within the last year - I thought that perhaps I really did win.

Yeah I got the same call. There was a message on my machine saying I won a new car. When I called back the guy Jacob White told me it was either the car or some cash, a new TV, or a vacation. When I got to the place they made me sit through  a ninety minute timeshare presentation before I could get the prize... I ended up getting the trip which did not include airfare it was basically a certificate for two free nights at a hotel. Jacob White told me they were just going to give me pamplets and info on the company (90 minutes of these guys trying to pressure me into buying a timeshare) and that I had a good chance at getting the vehicle. Complete Bull-s*it!!
