Called asking for my by my real name.  Had both my home and cell number (rang both lines).  When i asked who the company calling was, they said "We're not required to disclose that information."  I informed the caller, without revealing my identity, that the failure to report the name of the calling company, and additionaly the company they are calling on behalf of was in violation of federal law, and I asked to speak to a supervisor.  They hung up.  I have NO accounts in collection, and have not for over 10 years...  Who are these people???

Called my phone and hung up. When called back, got msg, saying "I am sorry the call cannot be completed, please check the number and dial again...blahhhhhhh"

just got call from above number... went to machine and hung up... checked here to see its just another scam artists trying to work thier little bag o tricks...

Got a couple of calls the past two days with no message.  The ID just said "Toll Free Call."

I've been getting many calls like this lately, from charity scams to collection agencies looking for someone else to the cable company (in that case, I recognize the number).  All of these companies call from multiple numbers, so it could be anybody.  All I know is that it's someone I don't want to talk to.

I always check numbers on this site to see if anyone else is getting disturbed, and who these people claim to be.  Lately I've been cursing the invention of the telephone.

This is me again, from last post of 8/6/11.  Just got another call from them Wednesday at 7pm.  No message.  Since they haven't called in almost a year, I thought I was off the hook.  Calling again it seems.

Folks, check (800) 772-1413 on this site.  I am sure it's Portfolio Recovery, a bottom-feeder collection agency trying to collect old debts (even 20 years old).  The area code 877 is also toll-free.  This company tried to bully people over the phone, and the people calling are hostile and abusive.

I got calls from (877) 772-1413 back in 2011.  I checked here, and only a few people posted.  Nobody knew who they were.  It was quiet till April 2012, when I got another call.  There were never any messages.

NOW, I've been calls from (800) 772-1413, and my Caller ID log shows it as "repeat" call.  That means the two numbers are coming from the same place or source, even if the area code is different.  No message, just calls and calls.  The Caller ID says "Toll Free Call".

Like Cordy, I've been cursing the invention of the telephone.  I wonder what Alexander Bell would think of this.

I've turned my ringer off, it's too much.

Also been getting HOUNDED by some "Unknown Caller".  (NO phone number is shown)  Call and call and call.  I have a strong suspicion it's them,  calling from different numbers all the time.  Probably trying to trick you into answering the phone.

beware!   a  call  from  this  number  is  a  debt  collection  scam ~ they  are  phishing  for  info ~

give - them - nothing.

This company has been harassing me saying that I owe two debts one for 1500.00 and one for 2000.00 dating back to 2004 and 2007. These are not my debts!! How do I report these people?  They have said that they are going to report to credit bureau if debts are not paid. These so called collections have never been on my credit report.

I only answer calls from people I know.  The rest I look up here.  And then do a web search.
