They leave a lot of voice mails about Debt Consolidation.

If you pick up the phone when they call, the computerized voice tries to get you to Press 1 or 2, and tells you it may take up to 20 minutes for an person to get onto the line to speak to you.


Firstly, don't ever Press 1, if you think you have a Scam or Telemarketing Call. I have read of Scams where they try to get you to Press 1, and then you are transferred somewhere to the Caribbean and billed $25 a minute.

Secondly, a real Debt Consolidation Company with a Better Business Bureau Rating, or a real Collection Agency would not leave voice mails for you, like this. There is a protocal, for Collection Agencies. They would first send a letter, then a real person would phone you, during office hours.

Thirdly, if you get repeated Scam or Telemarketing Phone calls, just call your Phone Company and ask them to block all your Telemarketing/Unidentifiable Calls.

Fourthly, if you get the numbers of boiler room Scammers phoning you, just go to the Police Phone Busters Website and report the number.
