- Loki| 2 repliesBot call from 810-985-8403 as likely fake CID. (Reverse lookup to apparent private home number in MI)
Fast talking recorded female identifying as Terry Greene from Credit Solutions, pretensing returning my call (I never had contact with any such company) and "found a solution". Requested callback before 10 pm to 877-786-0934
Called was to my Verizon cel, inherently illegal.- Caller: Credit Solutions
- Call type: Telemarketer
- guest replies to Loki| 1 replyi just got the same call.... from the same number but she started talking before my voice mail picks up
- RyanJust got the same call. Did anyone get the name of the company? Someone needs to report them
- Caller: unk
- guest replies to guestsame here. i have no idea what she was even trying to say because my vmail hadnt even picked up yet.
- Josette Staufferthey left a message and I was instructed to call back they could help me lower my interest rates on my current credit cards since I am only paying the minimum monthly payment. Claimed to be credit solutions! what I want to know is why they think I am only paying the minimum and how did they get such information...is this some scam?
- Caller: Credit Solutions
- KateJust got another call with the same palaver about minimum payments and consolidation--obviously doesn't know the people she's calling, possibly trying to get people to call back to say "stop calling me" so she can talk to a live person and reel them in, if it's a scam. Could be legit, but who knows?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Seth| 1 replyI got one too- google voice transcribed the end of her message as - 3 number again. It's (877) 786-0934 and I'll be in the office until 10 PM Eastern time.
- Ryan replies to SethI also received the call from Terry Green (877-786-0934) saying she could lower my interest to 1.5% since I'm only paying the minimum and it would be the last courtesy call. Sounds like a scam to me.....
- jaimeGot the same call from Terri Green, and called the number back, got someone else...I asked what her company was, she said Consumer Debt and when I asked if it was a for profit she said no...wanted my phone number, but I wouldn't give it...I have not made any such contact with someone...do not give out info to any person making unsolicited calls....I hope this doesn't really work for them????
- Caller: consumer debt
- K| 1 replyI got the same message, in fact i've gotten it a number of times from Ms Terry Greene. They give you a call back number of 1-877-786-0934. when you call you get a "Diane" and she claims they are a group of non-profit organizations to help people with credit card debt, and refuses to tell you how they got your information and that putting you through to anyone else is a waste of time (she didnt say that, but refused to transfer me regardless.) Mind you i HAVE NO CREDIT CARD! So pretty interesting that i got that call numerous times this past year. Even oncec i told them this, they wanted to my number, its a scam, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING! They still call me to this day on my cell. Just ignore them.
- Caller: "consumer debt"
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- melissaJust got the same call. Never heard of this person, although we have been trying to consolidate, so thought I'd look this up to see what was going on. Thanks to everyone who took the time to write in. By the way, it was on our t-mobile cell phone. call back # is 877-786-0934
- Caller: Credit Solutions?
- PeterDitto, here is the google voice translation :)
Hi guys, this is Kerry green here. We spoke on the phone last week about possibly trying to lower your interest rates, reducing your monthly payment on your credit card so I want to get back and let you know that I did find a solution. So we've got a program that can lower your interest rates to as low as 1.5% and possibly put your monthly payment in half and see if you are only making the minimum payments is a be a great opportunity for you. This'll be my last courtesy call, so please give me a ring today. Headline (877) 786-0934. And that's a toll free number again. It's (877) 786-0934 and I'll be in the office until 10 PM Eastern time.- Caller: ???
- pudgeI got the exact same message as Peter.
- esmeraldaYes,
I too have gotten this call twice now and I did call it back because it makes me mad to get this call, I too got "Diane", Terry Greene was conveniently not there. She wanted me to leave a number for Terry to cross reference my number with the one she supposedly had. I absolutely refused and stated that I did not need their help. She claimed to be a debt consolidation just trying to help people. I want to report them because I know it is a scam and it really bothers me that they have my cell number.- Caller: Debt Consolidation
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- saulGot it 3 hours ago. Same text as the google transcribed one. The funny thing is that I do not have a credit card to begin with. I was assuming she had the wrong person until I saw your posts, so thanks :)
- SucramYep I got the same thing. This was to my direct office line at work, too. Very annoying.
- BeckI got the same call today on my ATT cell. As a single mom, always looking for ways to save money, I wanted to get more info. Glad I looked it up and read what y'all posted...thanks.
- Caller: credit?
- BeckOh...by the way, my call came from 810-985-7273 but left a call back number of 877-786-0934. I did not try calling either number because I wanted to look it up first.
- Caller: ?
- TonyYeah same call also. What they are praying on are people with bad memories. Hope companies like this get there [***] sued. Think there also needs to be a law against this type of solicitation. I have seen ton of emails like that and makes me sick people would pull that type of crap.
- Jack replies to KYou are correct. This call is a scam and is highly illegal due to Federal law. They did not "find" your number. The use automatic dialing systems that call numbers sequentially. You were just called at random. They did not target you specifically.
There is a new company that is creating these scam illegal robo-calls. One of the largest scam robo-telemarketing was shut down by the Feds early in 2010. Here is where you can learn of the Federal complaint:

You can also perform an internet search for "Jason Eyer" and "VP Marketing."
If you want to learn more about how you can combat these illegal activities, take a look at my post from April 2009. Just scroll down the page a bit until you see a post with my name. Remember that the company I listed in this post has been shut down by the Feds, but there is another that arose in its place. Use this post to learn what you can do:
