- JenniferThe company that called me was the National Network of Attorneys. They would not give me their physical address or any info about the debt without verification of ss number, which I refused to do. Other collectors in the past 3 years that have been giving me 48 hours "or else" I would be served . The 48 hours have since past a plethora of times, and I have not been served. The past collectors. only had the last four digits. This concerns me that they have an entire number now. They said they have an affidavit for me to appear in court in a county I do not live in. Another collector called in the past and said I was on Check Systems, I just received my report, and I am NOT. Furthermore, I think these collectors give up when they cannot collect, and sell the info to new companies. The calls are for the same debt (erroneous) (when they will give me the info) and keep getting sold among the companies. argh.
FYI: I filed BK a couple of years ago and have no debt. My attorney said he could file a class action suit, but we need their physical address first.- Caller: National Network of Attorneys

- BarbaraI answered a call on my mom's phone today from this number, and it was a recording requiring a callback to 716-362-2807. The recording stated that they have tried numerous times to reach her and "per company policy" they would not be serving her first at work and then at home. My mother is currently in the hospital undergoing chemo, so I called the 877 # back and someone answered (no company name, just a person) and when I told him that I currently have power of attorney and he could discuss all calls with me, he told me to fax over the POA. I asked him WHO I was faxing this to and he would not even tell me that. I am not going to fax this document to just any POS and would like to know what we are dealing with first. He ended the call by telling me I should clean out my mother's bank accounts because he was about to freeze them.... Is this really possible? I think I have enough to deal with right now without having to stress over all this....

Also that I should call this number back and make an appointment to meet with them outside of my work place to discuss the charges against me. Claimed they were from the county I live in.

- Jackie B replies to ColoradoI received a message today stating that I have until 2:00 p.m. to drain my back account because they were going to place a freeze on my account due to a credit card that was opened in 2007, which I don't recall opening.
